A mate of mines parents live just near the Lord Derby pub (just behind where that pic is) I wonder if they heard anything!
I mean, its a fairly tight corner if you were planning on taking 2nd exit coming from Hook, but if you wanted to go straight on down the bypass you'd have to go some way to fk it up, I've taken that corner at speed many times! Though perhaps he was properly giving it some...

And as a further reply to the query as to why the type of car needed to be mentioned, the News Group do tend to mention the types of cars involved in accidents - no matter how "ordinary" or special the car might be.
Sadly, there was another fatal accident not that far from the Ferrari one (on the A30) on Sunday -
