Are you going to be driving a plane or a car? Look at that centre console and all those buttons - no thanks!
Every button separated by a chrome strip - absolutely horrible. Spent a day driving a Panamera and hated the buttons. Porsche can do no wrong; their customer satisfaction survey results indicate people fking LOVE Porsches.W124 said:
I've driven a few. They ain't that good. Especially with the 2.0d ingenium. Pretty awful really. The XF is very good to drive, and to be in. This thing is just bloated, heavy and nasty. To put the size in perspective - it's a struggle to get one in between the rails of a normal car wash. It's not idiotically big like a RR, Q7 or XC90, but it's not far off and there is no trade off in interior space. You can tell this article is pretty faint with the praise if you read between the lines - as PH was in general with the XE as well.
If you ask me (not that anybody has) - JLR are pushing way beyond the limit of their available box of bits and getting away with it because the cars look so good. you can't blame them - they have no other option really - but the truth is that, as a car, the F-Pace is nowhere near as good as the soon to be replaced Q5. Actually, I suspect Audi will cock up the Q5 replacement, but that's another story.
It would appear that most of the press and buyers don't agree - the 9 month waiting list might also give you a clue.If you ask me (not that anybody has) - JLR are pushing way beyond the limit of their available box of bits and getting away with it because the cars look so good. you can't blame them - they have no other option really - but the truth is that, as a car, the F-Pace is nowhere near as good as the soon to be replaced Q5. Am I alone in thinking that they are ugly sin? The guy down the road has just got what I assume is a base model 2.0l (black with black wheels) and it just looks like a mess. The whole rear 3/4s just looks wrong.
Nope. As I said, it's like they've tried grafting the F-type's arse onto a big, tall, relatively narrow 4x4, and it just doesn't work, any more than grafting a squashed Discovery arse onto the F-type would work. The rest just looks utterly forgettable. Bring back the XF Sportbrake...I like the looks and I like the fact that it has a little more usable space than a Macan in a similar size exterior. I expect I would be happy with the way it drives. I could be a customer for a high end one to replace an XF Sportbrake 3.0S Portfolio. However, I am very disappointed by the interior quality which is far below my XF let alone a high-end Macan - I would want an interior of at least equal quality to my current car, without having to pay more for it than the price of the current F Pace. I expect I may get it if I am patient when they have worked their way through the initial demand and have to improve it to maintain sales.

The RR, Q7 or XC90 are still fairly compact against the full sized SUV's such as the Tahoe, Suburban and Expedition
It might just be a factor of the roads I've driven them on, but the Range Rover feels a fair bit wider than the big American SUVs. Range Rover
