I need to get myself an exercise bike for the next few months for home use.

There are so many out there, are they all pretty much the same?

One thing I have noticed, is that most seem to have huge saddles, which in my experience, are less comfortable than a cycle saddle.

Unfortunately, I'm going to need it to be more self contained, and more accesible.

I should explaine that, I've pretty much been off my feet for 10 weeks! frown

Do you have a regular bike? if so then a turbo trainer might be a good option?

i have no idea about the lower / middle end but a wattbike is pretty much the best you can get - they are expensive (over 2k) but you can rent them for about 75 quid a month, the benefit being when you don't need / want it it gets collected and you don't get a very expensive clothes rack in the way. There are other places that rent gym type bikes too - this might be an option if its a shorter term requirement for recovery............

That's a great suggestion, gym equipment loses money so fast you may aswel rent it.

When I was recovering from my broken femur I borrowed a spin bike from my LBS, used it in the garage for a few months in conjunction with my physio exercies before getting out on the road again.
