That’s VERY cheap. Be sure to be sitting down if you try getting a supertanker quote.

Sounds about right I guess, we paid £265 for an 8 yard one recently. Depends what everyone charges in your area, ring around a few places to see what they say.

Same - just paid £240 for a 6yard in NE Hants. When we started our renovation 5 years ago we were paying c£170 for a 6 yard. It's worth shopping about. We've tried Hippo bags a few times but you can't get as much in. Depending what you're getting rid of, have you looked at a grab lorry? I've got c50t of soil to go and the grab lorry is working out much cheaper.

Paid £270 for a skip, well 2, a few months ago but was 8 yards - SE London.

Be careful though, turns out both my colleague and I used the same company at about the same time and both had our cards cloned at the beginning of this month....coincidence?

8 yard £210 inc vat Stockport/NW about a month ago. Used to be half that. Blame council/govt green/recycling charges.

£260 for an 8 yard in Surrey, lost count of how many we've had by now!

One of the disadvantages of living 80 miles from the nearest skip hire = £550+ for a 6 yard here.

Had an 8yd skip picked up yesterday, had it for two weeks at a cost of £250 inc vodka and tonic and the permit for having it on the road. I think it was £225 for the skip and £25 for the permit, Essex area.
