From what ive read the ps4 replaces the ps3 and is better than the ss in 99% of situations (track) but the ss is superceded by the sc2 for track use.

That is only true for the bespoke PS4 such as the N rated version for Porsche. They are very much aligned with the Super Sports with a little less track focus. There are better tyres out there for this end of the market like the AD08R which is newer and really in different league to these tyres.

I am HUGE fan of the RS3's, which in my opinion are the best tyre you can buy for daily driving any car on UK roads in UK weather. I had them on my Clio 182. If you do the occasional track day I could see doing Michelins or Goodyear F1's. Heck my new to me Mini S has Maxxis sport zero ones on it and I cannot honestly fault them at all, I cannot find any reason to replace them early (I do not do track days and I do not drive like a moron on public roads either, so that might make a difference).

Pilot super sports are one of the best in the dry but there pretty useless in wer. Contintel sport contact 6 or 5 are good all rounders.
Ignore this regarding the Super Sports OP, this person clearly hasn't driven them in the wet.

They are massively impressive in the dry and very good in the wet.
I had a set on my c55aa and they were great in the dry, average at best in the wet. They had worn out on 4.5k miles.

Lastest evo mag review of tyres there the best in the dry and 1 of the worst in the wet.

But yeh ignore my opinion your obviously right
I shot this so I feel i can comment with more authority than most given I've run them both back to back:

The Continental Sport Contact 6 does have the edge in the wet, but it's small. Even in the EVO wet lap, the Conti time was 71.66 seconds and the Michelin 72.11. I'm not sure 0.45 seconds difference qualifies as useless.

Subjectively the Contis are slightly easier to get the most out of as the Michelin can be a little snappy.

As for wear, I'm 99% sure under equal driving conditions the Michelin would always last longer than the Conti.
