An estate agent I've just been talking to about selling a house has told me that they don't use Zoopla as it's past its best. Instead they use Right Move & On The Market. Can anyone tell me if this EA is talking BS or are they really on the ball?

They may be restricted in the sites that they can use as part of the On The Market T's and C's.

For me personally, I've always quite liked Rightmove, and have not really used Zoopla much, but more sites equals more exposure.

I've never looked beyond RightMove apart from a spot of curiosity.
Just my 2p.

Agents using On The Market can only use Rightmove OR Zoopla - not both...

I'm amazed ZPLA share price is still where it is considering.

As usual an Estate Agent is only giving half the story, surprise, surprise!

We found this, some estate agents didn't list on Rightmove, which tbh was a big no no for me, its what 90% of people head to when buying a house.

Its the Autotrader of houses for most.

I used to just use Rightmove but now I prefer Zoopla. Never tried On the Market. Off to try it now!

I can never work out how to add filters to Zoopla, whereas Rightmove has everything you need.

At least this agent was honest about not using them, the other two I've spoken to just skipped over the issue.

Anyway that has narrowed the field down.

I only ever used Zoopla for values etc, not for browsing

When house hunting I'll try every single site daily!

That being said, on the market was one I had forgotten about!

The valuations are probably the most useless thing about Zoopla! Always wildly inaccurate and completely random, total waste of time to rely on them.

My neighbour has been trying to sell his house since september 2015 and has finally changed agents, the house is not on Rightmove which seams a bit mad to me, its on Zoopla though.
