Painting treated wood?

Im looking at a change of colour for my garage.

It's currently covered in treated feather edge cladding which has also had a coat of dark wood stain.

How easy, if possible, is this to paint over? Im looking at a light grey gloss. Is gloss a good idea or should i be looking at a different paint?

is it sawn feather edge or prepared timber. If its sawn you will struggle to get a gloss finish as the wood is so rough and will soak up paint of any sort. If its prepared timber you could use Zinnser cover stain but its hard work. Best of luck which ever way you go.
