A-road, passing building site, 50mph, bang and loud metallic scraping until I pull over.

I'd been rebar spiked!

Rather amused, thought to share.

Fortunately, no passengers.

Will stop by petrol station for bubble gum, pack of Wrigley's should patch the hole.

Chuffin' nora! That could've been unpleasant with a passenger in that seat.

The pigtail in that, it was a support for temporary fencing. Might have fallen off something passing, rather than from the building site, but...

Ouch! I'd chalk that one up as a victory, before having a chat with the site manager!

Holy balls...

Hope you reported it to the people in charge of said building site? The next person to run over a spike might not be as lucky as you.

Raining, busy A-road, tried to avoid it, but rather a long pole.

Well, Landcruiser wasn't damaged and no passenger bled out on back seat, little point getting upset over nothing.

And another reason this "powerfully built company director" drives a 19 year old Landcruiser with 150,000 miles ... car park dents don't matter, can park and abandon it anywhere and these small underbody/carpet holes become simply amusing.

Lucky!!

Although I wince at putting that steel bar on your bonnet even on a work vehicle.
