Bought this today.

With our 370Z GT imminently departing whilst we await the arrival of the A45 AMG, there was a gap in the garage for a 2 seater convertible for a bit of fun.

Its a 2004 Boxster 2.7, upgraded 18 inch wheels, black leather. Otherwise pretty much standard.

Wheels have recently been powdercoated, and it comes with a full service history and just 67K miles.

Well pleased so far. smile

Top tip..

Open the cup holder. Now, pull it to the left. Et voila, another cup holder!

Took us 4 years to find that. smile

Nice. The 2.7s are super sweet.

Enjoy one of the nicest cars this side silly money - it's not capital F fast but has a nicely honed set of primary controls and a jewel of an engine. Chassis not bad either (even on slightly tired dampers)!

P.S. Those wheels look like the Boxster S 17s rather than 18s -could be wrong though. 986s are too big on 18s anyway for my taste.

Top tip 2 - if anyone ever even hints at selling you p zero Rosso - punch them, then get conti Sp3's. I've heard pilot sports are ok too, but IMO the car was totally st with p zeros, and great with the conitis.

Top tip 3 - Google 986 oettle. Sounds marvelous! Basically like pse but without the 1200 quid price tag.l

Top tip 4. The front speakers are full range, door speakers are bass only. Turn off the awful Becker sound mode (forget what they call it), and instead of using bass up, simply use fader to rear. Makes it sound much better with less muddy bass.

D'oh! You're right - they're 17s.

More than happy with them though.

Great car enjoy. Quick question, looking at your interior/dash, do you not have an AC also? very similar to mine, which does not have an A.C., pretty standard 2000 model. (Not having A.C. pretty good for engine cooling, if you ask hardcore 996 owners out there, so no worries biggrin)

No AC on my 1999 2.7 either. Well, unless you count dropping the roof hehe

Optioned only with extended leather, CD auto-changer and 17in wheels.

I realized after seeing high mileage 996's topics out here, the owners remove the A.C. later on. Apparently, it creates much more efficient cooling system (no air conditioner condensers in front of radiators) + weight reduction and finally no more Air conditioner maintenance expense..

Correct - and well spotted. No air con on this one.
