Inspiration needed!
Discussion
Hoping you guys can offer me some inspiration on choosing our next car.
We currently have an RS4 convertible for weekends and a bit of fun, a Golf R estate for family duties, and just sold our Q7.
Looking up to around £15k for something that won't depreciate much, no offers us some creature comforts.
This car can be the main family car, in place of the Golf R, as that's a bit of a squeeze for us (2 adults and a 2 and 4 year old), and I will jump in the R. It will do around 10k p/a, so diesel not a necessity.
Been looking at the following:
Range Rover Supercharged - terrified of the fuel consumption.
X5/6 - wife likes them, I don't.
S class - don't know enough about them.
7 series - as above.
Any thoughts on the above, or other recommendations? Really struggling for inspiration here.
Alternatively, my wife stays in the R estate, and I get myself something small, boring and economical.

OP, all of the cars you have put forward will still depreciate down to zero in the next few years, so it is not as though they are depreciation proof, they would also be getting to the point in their lives where they can (as cars do at that age) chuck some big bills at you. As not many people want, large, expensive, complex cars used they will almost certainly depreciate faster than £15,000 worth of more modest car.
There are some on here that like a big cheap car and use the depreciation to there advantage, if you are that sort of person, fine, if not a 15 grand Mondeo sized car that is big, not that fashionable, but still very well equipped and capable might be a better bet.
