"There's a bloke/lass down the road with...."
Discussion
Every day a chap drives up my road in an RS6, I'm at the top of a hill where he lifts off before going over the top and it sounds norty!
Regularly pass a black Ferrari F12, looks to be used a good bit, possibly as a daily driver!
Also see plenty of 911's and other more common motors heading out onto the moors for a blast.
And living near the airport I often see their own fire engines out and about on the road, they are really cool.

What about Londoners seeking a ban on hard acceleration due to the problems with Arabs every summer?
Gent enjoying his car on a NSL section of countryside =/= Idiot giving 700bhp hypercar full throttle in a crowded city streetI'm reasonably certain the general PH consensus is that the latter behaviour is not good for anyone.
But you've made your point, others have decided whether they agree, the intent of the thread is simply asking what cars in their vicinity people enjoy WHATEVER the reason... so if you don't mind keeping comments on topic? I'm asking nicely and all that

Jesus. Give it a rest. No one gives a st what you think about some noisy machines upsetting you.
err apparently they do, Ive hurt a few feelings here inc yours. The title of the thread may as well be asking if there are any incredibly well hung blokes in your local Golf/Football club locker room that impress you with their perceived power. Loud noise doesn't upset me. It's the minority of people with low-self esteem spoiling hobbies for everyone else that upsets me. The Uk law doesn't allow exhaust mods louder than standard and is also an MOT fail .
This thread is hardly a good example of the piston head community, should piston heads ever have to speak out on motoring matters.
At least the Goodwood festival of speed are on my side.

I initially pointed out that louder than standard pipes are illegal in the UK and an MOT failure under 7.1 and was derided for it. No agreement needed. I'm reasonably certain the general PH consensus is that the latter behaviour is not good for anyone.

In what way?
They stringently monitor and publish their reasonable noise levels as not to impact the environment and wider society, thus prolonging motorsport events. The exact opposite behaviour of after market exhaust makers and road going car enthusiasts with low-self esteem. MDMA . said:

of course I have something to add. You not agreeing doesnt change the facts.
Quite a lot of old stuff around - A Mehari, a few 2CVs, a very sorted looking Imp, a very clean, unmolested brown T25, some old Land Rovers, Mercedes Pagoda, nice looking Panda Sisley...
There's also a 900 Turbo, but I'm biased about that.
There used to be a CX Turbo Estate but I've not seen that for ages

"A silencer in such condition, or of such a type, that the noise emitted from the vehicle is clearly unreasonably above the level expected from a similar vehicle with a standard silencer in average condition."Saying 'louder than standard' is an MOT failure is misleading. Unless you can produce something that defines what is unreasonable.

no. I have read each reply you have made and not once have you replied to the thread title. so you are either a sad old troll or a miserable old women. probably both.of course I have something to add. You not agreeing doesnt change the facts.
best you get a cup of Bovril and a packet of Werthers and settle down for the night.
So, oilspill, given you're a member of Pistonheads... you MUST have something to add to the list. There MUST be some car you see on a regular basis, that if it pulled up next to you in a car park you know you'd have to strike up a conversation with the owner. It can be completely standard and STILL be very desirable, there's often a lot to be said for totally un-modified cars, especially of the classic variety
