Same here...sad to say I'am the only one in our street with anything remotely sporty, most of the neighbours have the usual supermini's but thankfully the chap next door has recently bought a lovely C250 Mercedes which is nice to see across drive.

Including my Cayman I think there are only two or three Porsches in our village of about 6000 and nothing more exotic than them.

Landscape gardener who lives round the corner from me has owned a succession of TVRs. I don't know what his current one is as I've never seen it in one piece - it's either got at least one wheel missing and is on axle stands, or the engine is hanging from a crane next to it.

There's a nice E30 drop-top in black at the end of my road, and a little further away a bloke with a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur and an old XJ6 which he hires out for weddings, plus a family with a nice old Dodge camper van.

Sitting having my tea in a local pub when this BEAST rock's into the carpark, turns out to be ANDY COLES old AUDI SQ7 Tuned by ABT Only 12 ever made..!!
Although the exclusivity was short lived when the car was in such demand. ABT brought out a tuning and bodykit for the Q7. Oh and the little ABT badge for the front grill which makes it so RARE..!!(not)HHA

Just noticed the new reg was out yesterday.

Neighbour has a brand new Porsche Macan GTS in dark blue.

He had a 6 year old Freelander before so it was a surprise.

Good on him smile

There was a bright red Ferrari California not far from me, he's now moved out and a light blue Focus has taken it's place, there was something nice about seeing a Ferrari in the drive of a normal house.
There's also a car under a cover, I'm fairly sure it's an Audi Quattro, shares a drive with an RS6, haven't seen it without a cover.

This one isn't down the road, but on the other side of York to me, down the road from a friend though, they have a small plane on the drive on sunny days, otherwise it's in the garage.

My neighbour works for some private hire company and gets to bring a pool car home. Not that I asked him, I just made the assumption as he always seems to have a different car on the drive. They all have the same 3 letters on the private plate, so I googled it and found out the company. I've seen on the drive a VW Phaeton V6 TDi, Vauxhall Insignia Estate, Merc E Class, Chrysler 300, and even a Hyundai i800.

Round the corner from me are a block of flats and someone there owns an S2000. Seen a Golf R, probably on lease, on a driveway as well. It's "a bit council" where I live, so that's as far as interesting cars go.

Old boy near me drives a green Aston Martin Zagato with the license plate 9D.

See it around a fair bit in the summer.

Only petrol head of note here in a suburb of South London is a guy just up the road that is seemingly hooked on Renaults and Alpines.

Parked either on the drive or in front of his house there are Three Alpine GTAs, a A310, an avantime, a Renault 5, a Renault 21 and a rolls royce silver shadow. On top of that, it seems like he has most of his garden converted into some sort of workshop and a access road 5/6 cars deep under covers.

Clearly a devoted Petrol Head, but I've never seen any of his cars out and about (bar the avantime)

My favourite neighbour is the white haired old man whooshing and screeching round all the local roundabouts in his super shiny black F reg Renault 5 GT Turbo.
This is about the 5th summer I've seen him and he's always got a massive grin on his face.

There's various exotica that I could report but fk that, this guy is the man.
Can't beat an old boy driving round in an old school hot hatch

Can't beat an old woman driving a black drug dealer spec C63 at full pelt either!

When I lived in that hotbed of exotic metal called Stoke on Trent, there was a local guy with a yellow Gallardo Spider. Never brash or lairy about it, and took it to the local Polish pitstop in Tunstall for washing.
A few people said he'd won the lottery/inheritance/drug dealer/people trafficker etc, but generally an anonymous guy, in an anonymous house in an anonymous part of an anonymous town with a bright yellow convertible Lamborghini in the garage.

I left Stoke a few years back, and thought nothing else of that car until this summer on holiday in Spain, I went to see what Puerto Banus is all about, and what was parked on the portside with the same private plate? That same yellow Gallardo. I still don't know who it belongs to...

John Caudwell lived a few miles in the other direction, and it wasn't unusual to see him in one of his fleet of hypercars around the area.

Next door have an old Black 2.8 Capri sat on the drive, it's not running currently though. Just down the road someone has a white Delta Integrale parked outside most nights.

Other than that it's the usual collection of boring shopping trolleys and Derv German status motors. frown

I'm always bewildered by someone who has a £100+k car and a "normal" house. I suppose different people have different priorities for their money, but I've always gone the other way and had an extra nice home before and extra nice car. For that reason, as I'm always spending money on my upgrading home, I'll never own a REALLY expensive car; I'm having trouble talking myself into upgrading my current 6.2 C63 coupe for the new C63S.

Did it happen to have a plate that ended in "ASH"? If so, I've seen the same car in Crewe, but I've also seen the same plate more recently on a Transit van.

Not much in the way of noisy cars round our way but there is a constant stream of 38 ton artics chewing up the roads and farm vehicles, tractors, spreaders, combines etc dragging muck onto the roads from the fields creating a serious road hazard.
