Anyone know the driver of an AUDI RS6 ESTATE REG No. DC150XT or DC15OCT

Almost rammed my wife off the road this evening!! Muppet came flying up behind her on the A483 between Chester & Wrexham doing between
100-120 MPH literally rammed her to the inside lane. She gestured her disgust at his maniac driving. As she pulled across he moved in front of her to the inside lane the idiot pulled in front and slammed on causing her to swerve back out to avoid a collision!!!

There are L plates on the car and if my daughter, who is learning to drive was driving, it could of been very very nasty.

Seriously what is wrong with people.

My wife is shaking and crying due to being scared.

I'm currently furious and would love to meet this idiot right now.

Neither of those plates are correct or the car is not listed on the motor insurance database.

Sorry to hear this OP. What's the damage from this 'literal ramming'? Have the reported this to the police? I mean your wife's Gatso eye saw him doing 120mph and he's effectively carried out a hit and run.

i suspect "literal ramming" may be something of an exaggeration, due to current mood of the OP and his wife.

Yes, all joking or sarcasm aside, how bad's the damage to your wife's car? 120mph is a lot of speed to be carrying in a car of that weight in a collision on a public road.

If the reg doesn't come up, is it possible it was stolen and on fake plates?

Not trying to be funny, and I get you're furious (I would be too if my wife was so upset) but the story, as told, suggests your wife was in lane 2 with an empty lane 1 beside her?

It reads a bit like this bloke came piling up behind her (what speed was she doing in lane 2 BTW?), bullied her out of the way (not excusing that at all) to lane 1 and then moved past in lane 2. She then 'gestures' as he's alongside her, so he brake checks her. Admittedly this is the actions of a tt, but TBH, it sounds a bit more two-sided than the initial OP makes out, unless she was overtaking someone in lane 1, in which case i'll wind my neck in!

(I'll repeat, it doesn't excuse brake-checking regardless).

An unnerving situation but 'gesturing your disgust' to a muppet driver is encouraging retaliation - to be avoided at all costs. Top PH marks to OP's wife for identifying a RS6 and noting a registration (albeit incorrect) in such circumstances.

He didn't say she got rammed at that speed though. Could have been a 10mph differential, just enough to shunt the car across a lane.

If there was a 'literal' shunt then I suspect there'd be more than a 'gesture' in response and I'd be calling the Police if I were the OP, not posting on PH.

Good post - as you suggest there's maybe another side to the story.

OP - I sympathise that your wife had an unpleasant experience, however the credibility of your account is undermined by the claim that she could accurately estimate his speed at 100-120mph (in her rear view mirror?) and that he literally rammed her out of the lane.

Hyperbole?

So there was room for your wife in the inside lane and also room for the rs6 to pull infront of her in the inside lane too?

Sounds like very aggressive driving from him, it could have been stolen or something and not excusing it at all but she could have avoided it had she been in the inside lane.

Hope she osnt too upset by it though

Ok guys.

Thanks first of all for your replies.

Correct she was not literally rammed more of forced into lane 1. There was no contact but would' have been had she hadn't reacted.

Why was she in lane 2 ? My wife was overtaking a car in lane one whilst driving at 70 mph. A completely legal manoeuvre.

The gesture was sounding her horn and flashing her lights when he passed. Are you telling me you wouldn't do the same??

Colour of the car is a champagne/mushroom colour.

Was it 100/120 mph? She was doing 70mph and the car approached from behind like she was stood still.

I've tried to answer as best as I can

No I wouldn't, the tool in the RS6 is now ahead of me and I would just watch him disappear as there is no point in getting into a tussle at 70mph with a nutter.

But not a nice thing to happen to your wife obviously.

A bit of intimidation is very different from 'literally rammed'. Now you've admitted that, how can we be sure the rest of the incident was as described?

To answer your question: I would never, ever react to such idiotic driving by sounding my horn or flashing my lights; it's simply provoking someone who is already behaving stupidly.

She must have been past the car in lane 1 if she was able to react and move over. Not excusing the arse in the Audi at all, but it sounds like she didn't move back in to lane 1 quickly enough for him.

Thing is, she must have seen him coming in her rear view mirror for a certain amount of time if she was able to estimate his speed at all.

Full circle on that one then OP, and still on the first page. Good PH standards. Clearly your wife is to blame for the entire incident.

This post is in the VAG area too, those pesky muppets in their RS6s. I thought Kermit had an M5.
