Ordered one last weekend...
I ordered one at the turn of the year and have still not heard anything re delivery timetables. In fact, I've not even been sent a spec sheet or options list. Hardly inspiring stuff. In the meantime, I've ordered something else from Stuttgart which, after a 7 month wait, arrives at the end of this month.

Options are pretty much as the configurator, I've been told they begin production at the end of this month with delivery before the end of the year. In the meantime, I've ordered something else from Stuttgart which, after a 7 month wait, arrives at the end of this month.

This, and tbh when you break it down to individual components, specially electric bits they'll be tried and tested parts that are probably fitted to 50% of cars for sale today.
The gearbox is ZF, there's no reason why it is more likely to go in this than a BMW/JLR/Audi etc.. Bosch will probably make various sensors or coils etc..
I doubt it would put anyone off buying a new warrantied one, and unless some horror story appears in the next 5 years it won't stop me buying a used one either!
alfa have used bosch sensors and electricals for >20 years, doesn't stop the haters though. The gearbox is ZF, there's no reason why it is more likely to go in this than a BMW/JLR/Audi etc.. Bosch will probably make various sensors or coils etc..

That'll be the standard Alfa UK "mushroom" treatment. It applies everywhere: purchase, warranty, servicing etc, etc. Get used to it!In the meantime, I've ordered something else from Stuttgart which, after a 7 month wait, arrives at the end of this month.

There's lots of different figures out there, ranging from around 1500kg up to 1650+. I suspect the ~1500kg is dry weight with the 1650kg being EU (wet with driver) which would make it marginally heavier than an M3. Not overly heavy for the sector by any means, but not ground-breakingly light either.
