Really any rust-free 126 SEC with everything working starts at that sort of money these days. I haven't seen a good solid and tidy 560 in four figures for quite a long time.
This is pretty true I think. That brown one is a lovely colour.

I always find myself drawn to the later 6.0 cars with the 4 speed GM box.

Oh my! That is beautiful. They can't be <£10k cars for long, Shirley?
My xjr-s will probably have to go up for sale soon to make way for something even more daft! There's a reader rides thread on it and a pic below. Will be cheaper than the car listed, and very much rarer.

I'm in windswept Cornwall at the moment, but PM me if anyone's interested in a thread discount!

A budget-buster. But a wonderful one.

Those colours are ace. At (just) sub-budget, seems reasonably priced too.

Normally aspirated diesel. It'll be quite leisurely I suspect smile
Quite possibly on a par with continental drift, but it'll last as long too.

Do fk off.
Quite.
I'd missed that the first time.

However, bear with the buttock-clenchingly awful prose, and there's a sort-of amusing ad in there. Sort of.

'... Think Arnold Schwarzenegger in an Armani tuxedo. A confident head-turner, with a hint of the formidable muscle underneath the beautiful tailoring. That's the CL55 Kompressor AMG. That wafflemaker-looking thing is the high-tech helical supercharger that helps turn an already capable 5.5-liter V-8 into a handbuilt, near 504-horse tirewaster. ... This is serious pavement-buckling, addictive-sound-like-you've-never-heard-before kind of performance--all from a bank-vault-solid premium luxury coupe. Mercy.

The handbuilt eight ... scavenges all that air and lends the car its signature voice. Behind this potent mill ... brake discs with eight-piston front calipers complete the ground-hugging hardware.'

Almost makes me want it. Almost. Oh for the return of the cringe thread!

The word Mercy should appear in car adverts more often. I'm often pleading for it at home after buying yet another one!

Great thread, by the way.
Good spot. Or good memory. Or anally retentive weirdo. One of them, anyway!

Following the sale of mine, I'd appreciate a moratorium on the posting of XJSs for while. Ta.

Indeed, yummy and at that price "appreciating my asset" (have you still got your A124?)
I technically still own it, but there is 'a man' somewhere who has seen lots more of it than me over recent months. I'm looking forward to getting it back.
