I think that's a rather horrid mix of a classic shape and modern interior.
That's exactly what I thought. I wanted to like it, but the combo of new and old just doesn't work.

Cringey advert text, but this banana Barchetta looks a fun little thing.

Looks like they're using the auction pics for the ad!

I can't honestly say why I like this or indeed what I'd actually do with but I've had an unhealthy urge to buy this for weeks now.

That looks rather fun, I can see the appeal.

Not sure what this Mercedes 300TE 4matic will go for, but it's a lovely thing and I want it muchly:

Wonderful. Seems pretty cheap too, especially in these mad times.

ETA: Der, auction. So, currently very cheap!

I rather like that Audi 100. Full width rear lights and use of the word resplendent in the ad pleases me greatly.

But 6 grand? Seems rich to me even in this new world.

another strange one - anyone know what the Brabus D6 engine has over existing S350 £7,995 - stats dont seem different but that could be A/T - wiki doesnt seem to show much, the most i've found is that its 48bhp more than standard...?

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010295...
The Brabus bit looks like bull, but that's a handsome and imposing motor car.

If it was a bit closer would be tempted to go take a look...
Manual? Is that usual on these?

Its not a manual, just a poor advert
Yes, you're right. Not a great start when selling a pretty niche vehicle!

I've been following this since it was listed in December

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202012287...

It's got a great spec, and It's just dropped another grand so it's now listed for less than I paid for one with 20k more miles on the clock back in August. I don't know if it's the colour putting people off or what, but it does look like the COVID bubble might be deflating. It's also possible that when you call they tell you it has a slight misfire and the EML is on!
Don't usually like these but...and I think it IS the colour, I actually like that!!
I like the colour too. I surprised myself!

however i'm not sure it will take my bikes, my new puppy, nor give me great mpg for 2x5 hour drive in my new job next month.....

but still..........
I am not generally keen on black paintwork, but that looks very nice indeed.

You need to see the challenge in manageable bits - 'eat the elephant' as it were: you'll get a dismantled bike in the boot; the puppy will easily fit; anything about 10 is great mpg by many metrics...

What are you waiting for?

I rather like the Bentley. In blue or maroon, perhaps dark green, it would be much classier I think.

I have to say that if you're not interested in that mega uber spec 500 I linked then I don't think you'll ever find the right car. If I take off my "500bhp ha ha ha" hat it's the best 221 you can get; the "just right" engine but with all the spec.

Given the bills an aging soot chucker can throw and how much more prone to burst struts airmatic is than ABC I'd not be even remotely surprised if over 3 years that S500 works out no more expensive to run than an S320d.

Terrible pics but that colour looks great in person, and the lack of silver plastic trim is good too.
That colour works well I think. Interesting that the two cars you posted work especially well due to their interesting colours.

That's true, but this one is a conversion so isn't even 'original'.

Does it retain a normal car gearbox and so on? Can you rev the tits off it and upset the neighbours?

That's all kinds of cool for me
I'm not a J-tin man but I'd have that over the Citroen DS just because it's not a DS
I like both cars but of the two could only afford this one. I agree it's very cool.

It would annoy me always seeing that the near side rear window has an additional vertical bar in it compared to the off side. Plus I'm not off to the cash and carry.
Would you be less annoyed in the knowledge that that window is split because it is electrically operated by sticking the key in a hole adjacent the window?
Quite cool feature, when pavement parked can safely load groceries/school bags/dead burglars.
And one of this threads best cars ever IMO.
I agree. V cool.

Something a bit different.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-Benz-190e-3-2-...

Mechanically it sounds interesting. A 190e with a 3.2 engine fitted.
The interior is a bit of a mish mash to me.

£9595

Very different. It'll appeal to a certain type I guess, and this line may lure in the hopeful: '...can be modified up to 1200hp by fitting a turbo charger kit'.

My 9 grand remains untempted.
