373kg difference. No wonder the F-Type is relatively slow.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If ultimate handling and driving dynamics for regular B-Road blasts are important then go Cayman. If you want something that looks and sounds great, drives well and is a bit 'special' then go F-Type.

That sounds pretty accurate, except I'd replace 'Cayman' with Evora. The Cayman would then go between the two smile

I don't agree at all. The Jag does not drive well. It's no more enjoyable to drive than practically another other GT car. A 6 series would be as pleasant to drive.

The Cayman is infinitely better to drive at 3/10s, let alone being driven hard.

You would change it back to Cayman is you care about the quality of the build

Indeed, Lotus are improving but they still have some way to go to match VAG for either perceieved or real build quality. These things are always a trade-off, the Jaguar is (at least to my eyes) the best looking of the three; the Evora has the best chassis and is probably most practical; the Porsche is probalby best built and closer to the Lotus than the Jaguar in terms of chassis setup.

For me it would be Lotus > Porsche > Jaguar but I can quite see how a different set of priorities would put them in just about any order. They're all good cars in their own ways.

You recall incorrectly. You're looking at gross vehicle weight for the Cayman and F Type, that is the maximum weight set by the manufacturer they are allowed to carry including the weight of the car. The Cayman actually weighs 1398kg net and the base F-Type 1725kg net.
Base V8 maybe! V6 Coupe starts 1567kg.

F type for me, although I've only driven the v8. I'd have the boxster over the Cayman too.
