What are your silly car ambitions? I'll likely never fulfull some or all of these, but they're ideas that gnaw at me...

1. I want to have my heart broken by a beautiful, temperamental Alfa.

2. I want to waft around the countryside in an absurd old-man Jag saloon, maybe with a V8.

3. I want to razz about in a tiny kei box. (Although I've sort of already done this - had the use of a Honda Beat for 3 weeks, mental little thing.)

What are yours?

I'd like to own a Ferrari. In silver. It's a silly ambition, as everyone wants a red one.

I'd like to drive a Hyundai Accent diesel and bounce it off walls, bollards and road signs, just for fun.

Original GT40. Came close about 15 years ago but Mrs and reality kicked in.

Shame. GT40 would have been a better investment than a restaurant.

And a hell of a lot more fun.

As I sit here looking at the picture of the 944 I had about 12 years ago I would love to get another one but with my advancing years, bad knees and spreading waist I would really struggle to get in or out of it.

I want to build a 300bhp turbo new beetle, with a powered by fairydust sticker. Use it to bait boy racers and blow them away laugh

Also want an LS400 on air and massive chrome rims

And a jaguar XJR with diplomatic flags on the wings

And turbo my MX5

And build a mk2 golf with a built carb engine in a singer style

And get a mini and make it a classic touring car style

And buy a TVR

And a VX220

Can you tell I spend a lot of my day with my mind wandering?!

The list goes on and on...

I'd genuinely like to buy a circa 160,000 mile Land Cruiser circa 2005 vintage (7 seater), get it remapped and run it until I die at a ripe old age. I like the attainable dream.

I'd like to own a Ferrari 488GTB in Blu Abu Dhabi with as much carbon as possible.

I got to have a proper look round at Goodwood and fell in love with is even more. Never going to happen though.

Other than that, I'd love a C63S wagon to lug all my photography gear round in for work!

I imagine one of those will still be hanging around after the end of the world, clinging to the fragmented remains of planet earth as it drifts through space. In fact, come the end of the universe all that will remain will be black holes and Toyota Landcruisers.

As for me, I want something a little less indestructible and a lot more MoPar. 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR in Plum Crazy Purple. Nothing less will do.

I always wanted to drive through something like this...

..In a Caterham etc.

I would also like to put a brick on the gas pedal of an old Yank truck and climb into the back as it takes me on a ride for miles across the salt flats.

I want to turn a Honda Jazz into a track car. Preferably one in gum-disease pink, with a box of tissues on the parcel shelf.

Yep. I need help.

If we're going to be silly, I'd like to make a fortune and then commission Maserati to make a second Birdcage 75th so I can have one.

Ported 20b triple rotor mk1 mx5. It would also have a full cage and metal coupe roof welded in.

Put a camper back on the El Camino and do a boys road trip around Scandinavia taking in one of the big car shows there.

In my mind it would look slightly cool in a retro naff kind of way, maybe a bit like this

or this

but I fear in reality it would look like this
