With the slighly pointy nose and the upwards curve of the rear there seems to be some watered down elements of the FT1 in that. I'd say it's more likely the Toyota than the BMW. This will be expensive what with the carbon fibre and hybrid shenanigans going on. I doubt Toyota will sell many.

I get where people are coming from with the BMW Z shape, but it does look a dead ringer for the GT86. Wouldn't be surprised if they run with the same basic shape and make it the bigger brother.

Exactly my first thought!

I presume they will be somewhat more differentiated that the Toyobaru Twins, though.

Lights look like a toyota. The wheels look like a bmw.

Overall the shape reminds a bit of the 350z/370z.....but then I do need coffee!

I do think its a Z5M Coupe with that bootlid and the twin roof bubbles.

Mimics the Z4M Coupe very well.

(also it has a BMW interior) smile

This looks good, I'm not bothered about whether it's a bmw or a Toyota,

In the other photos on the Supra forum there are Munich banners in the background. Unless the Toyota version is being developed by BMW (like how Subaru made the GT86) it seems odd that's there an not near somewhere like Cologne (TMG) or the 'ring.

Yeah! I ruled out a McLaren P1 for the same reason.
IMHO, hybrids have thus far always turned-out to be less inspiring / entertaining than purely IC-engined performance cars. - For some reason, I don't find myself lusting after a P1 etc. like I do a Zonda 760. The gap between the best IC-engined cars and hyrbid-eco-electric thingies also seems to widen as prices get more realistic for the average man on the street and I can't think of a single non IC-engined "everyday" performance car that I'd choose to own myself unless the financial incentive / tax breaks were completely off the scale.

So yes; as soon as I saw the word "hybrid" in this article, I was ready to say "Next!".

"...Ferrari-style rear lights..."

They look more like generic trailer lights bogged on. Look at the way the RH one sits well proud of the camo.

This has all the hallmarks of being the worst disappointment since the last (fwd) generation Skyline.

Isn't all this conjecture about whether its a BMW or Toyota irrelevant as they'll be the same car anyway?
Sadly it doesn't look like a camouflaged FT-1, it looks very comprised for production.

I saw on another site that the reg plates this car is using are registered to Toyota.

There was a front wheel drive Skyline?

I was wondering that. I'm also wondering what the hallmarks are.

Let's hope it's not as hugely priced as the new NSX, although I'd be surprised if it was under £50k.
inflation adjusted the Supra Turbo was £75,000

Yup, definetly not a supra. Besides, toyota hide their prototypes much better than this.
So you're saying that Toyota are very good at disguising their mules while simultaneously claiming it can't be a Supra because it doesn't look like it.. hmm?

Looks like an ft1 style nose bulge under the camo front bumper. The article says it returned to toyota.

And the bmw looks like...

Yes, those tail lights are a red herring.

Regarding the pictures in the update, the front shots look really bad, whereas the rest of the shots at different angles look a bit better
