It's a doddle to park. Multi sensors as standard. Most also coming with camera and surround vision. Granted, 20" wheels and 30-profile tyres do increase the heart rate!

Beyond that, it's a car that parks as easy as any other. A Mondeo hire car I had for 3 hours was far harder to park.
I was actually specifically referring to the length of the car as most car parks around here are the British Standard of only around 4.8 metres...the GC fits nicely in at just over 5 metres....

Granted, true about those current ones listed which really aren't 'lookers'. But hardly acceptable as a second incarnation of the 8-Series? If it really is going to resemble the profile of those spy shots...not that I could afford a new one...I'm happy to stick with my E31 for yet another 11 years! laugh

(gratuitous picture whoring shot! laugh)

I always wish I could be brave enough to own an 8 series, probably one of the best looking GT cars and imho will go down in history as a timeless classic. It just looks extremely right.

My expectations for the new 8 will be that it's none of this, and in 20 years, it will be even more expensive to run than the original 8.

I'm ready to be proven wrong.

Given standard of parking, seeing a car within a space is unusual!

It is 5m, but it sits within 50mm (usually under) of Audi A7/A8, E-Class/S-Class, BMW 5GT/7-series and shorter than most top-end SUVs.

Here's my two eight's....

Don't think i want three....
That's quite a garage!
He'll stop teasing us one day and post all of them in a line, though I do believe it is bad form on his behalf to have the i8 in silver wink

As for the new 8, it's going to be a hopeless disappointment, the E31 is timeless, but the model range of BMW these days is stupid
1 series
X1
2 series
2 series active tourer Abomination
2 series GT as above
3 series
3 series GT
X3
4 series
4 series gran coupe, which is just a 3 series with a slightly different boot
x4
5 series
5 GT
X5
6 series
6 series gran coupe
X6
7 series

The 7 is the only one they have ruined and diluted into many sub genres of the same car, and the thing that really annoys me is their very now lazy bonnet lines and angles.

They're slowly ruining the brand with millions of models, take the 5 series
E12, from 1972 to 1981
E28, from 1981 to 1988
E34, from 1988 to 1996
E39, from 1996 to 2003
E60, from 2004 to 2010.
F10/F11

We are now on G30? I think the new one, nobody knows the number system really past E90, Couldn't tell you what any of the F's are.

Then what they will do, is release this as a 2 door GT coupe, then a year down the line, decide that it needs 2 more doors, and then you're competing your car against your own car.

And yet, they all sell in increasing numbers.

One of you can read the market. I don't think it's you wink

Ugly and pointless.

Its basically a way to show you have too much money and not enough class.

I like some variation in an interior, like carbon lay ins, aluminium details, non-black leather, coloured stitching. However, this one looks like "yes let's do them all, it'll look great!" and it looks horrible tbh.

True, but this one stood out with the harsh stop from carbon to glossy black plastic.
