The previous gen BMW X5 has aged badly:

That isn't the previous gen X5 - it's two generations old and first appeared almost 20 years ago.

It looks old - because it is. It's a 4wd SUV version of the E39 5 Series, a car designed well over two decades ago.

The fact you've confused it for being just the previous gen X5 probably works in its favour!

Mk1 TT, Wifey has a MK2 and still looks quite modern, the first generation not so.
The original TT might be starting to look a bit dated now but it is much better than the Mk2 design which just looks lazy.

It must be designed in China or somewhere. Must look it up.

Hope the new Fiesta is better for Ford as if they get that wrong they could regret it big time.

No way, the MK1 is a classic and still looks good now.

2016 VW Passat. Born in 1992.
I'd say more like 1998 biggrin

That's not a (European, at least) 2016 Passat, though.

This is.

It's a very handsome looking car - I was very tempted to be a bit left-field and order one over an A6 or the 520d I ended up ordering.

Ah yes, a VW Passat - such a left-field choice.

Today I saw one of these on a 66 plate, the oldest looking new car I can think of, possibly the oldest new car you can buy anyway, must have been around nearly 20 years.

Not that many around, as most people are ordering the 3 series or A4 instead. Not as rare as a Mondeo, but definitely an 'alternative' choice for most company car drivers.

I agree it's a classic shape but I saw one this afternoon and to me I thought it looked very dated.

In fairness its expected when you consider how long ago it was launched.

Also agree with how dated the E53 X5/E90 3 series are now as others have mentioned.

These days a Mondeo is a left field choice...

These civics don't look so good any more. It's the plastic on the front and on the sides around the wheel arches (current model has the same problem), and the plastic wheels don't help. The Type R still looks good though.

Another Suzuki, was behind a new Baleno yesterday, strange because it looks like a new car but it also somehow looks like something from 1998.
