Watched the Chim drive away thisafto with it's new owner & for the 1st time in 12 years I have no imediate plans to get another...... It's bin an absolute blast I can tell you. These cars are just a fantastic unique adrenalin rush that no other car can replicate for me.

Here's a pic of each one in order of appearance........

350i My introduction to TVR's. Met some great like minded nutters & did some truly memorable runs out around mid Wales...

400SE The one I should have kept. Big valve heads & 250 hp. Fettled by Mark Adams & Tim Lamont.
Probably the most memorable 1st drive home ever. Beautifull sunny day blasting up the Wye Valley & across the Heads of the Valleys rd...

350i with a J.E. Engineering 4.5 motor. Old thumper. 315 ft lbs of torques... great fun.

Griffith 500. The other one I should have kept... Speaks for itself really....

Chimaera 430. The rev monster. Used to eat most things on track like the Griffith...

450SE, One of only 35 ever created. Peach.

Bought the Chim 430 back.... then....
Wedge 420SE. One of only 6 created. This one has the most peachy 4.4 J.E.Engineering motor ever. Smidge under 300hp @ 6500 rpm!!!! Feckin nutter of a car.

Chimaera 400. Stunning condition. Ended up with the CANEMS ignition system fitted by www.lloydspecialistdevelopments.co.uk

Had 3 months with a VX220 Turbo which was hysterical but did my back in....
Then finally my Chimaera 450. Which was treated to an engine rebuild last year by J.E.Developments...

I've had an absolute blast boys. Will remember every beat of every moment. Met some great people. Attended some awesome events. thumbup

Will be hanging around here of course but my 406 bhp Merc will be my chariot for the forseeable...

Great collection Wyn, especially some of those big Wedges. I must do doing something wrong though - only 3 (all Wedges in increasing bigness) in 28 years.

350i S2

Great set of cars Wyn. You clearly love TVRs and that low front picture of the blue Chim is one of the best pics of a TVR I have ever seen!

Clearly something more practical at the moment but never say never?

...I feel cheated..! I've only had 3 in 12 years; '90 S2, '88 390SE, and now the '92 400 Griff - my favourite, so far...

Mine:

2008 Chim 400HC, lasted 3 months. First TVR, was caught out in the wet. Say no more.
2011 Chim 400, 6 months ownership. Couldn't afford a Tam at the time but needed something raw...
2014 Tamora mk1, first 'T' car, great service and receipt file, wanted a T350, regretting selling it.
2015 T350T, great looking car, Cat D but repaired by Surface and Design. JP exhaust and de-catted so v loud
2016 Tamora mk2, bought the best I could find, didn't disappoint.
2016 Chim 450, life takes over with never ending house renovations so chopped in the Tam. Should collect the Chim Saturday.
future: Maybe a Griff or Tuscan.

All in, the above collective ownership of 2.5 years with other cars sandwiched in between (911, Z4M)
I struggle to keep sports cars longer than 6 months but my daily snotters seems to stick around.

Hi Wyn. Like yourself I started with a 350i bought from Harrogate Horseless carriages in 1986 it was a red one the reg no was C314 YYG, I then got a 400se just like you I then jumped ship and bought a Porsche 911 which was ok but it wasn't a TVR so I went back to TVR with a Chimaera 400 I then bought a Chimaera 450 I loved them that much I had another 13 chims I then jumped ship again and got a Subaru Impreza STI with 300 horses but that turned out to be very Boring, So I went back to TVR and this time I tried the Speed Six cars starting with a Tuscan 3.6 which was very good I then moved onto a T350c which I found a bit closterfobic I then got a T350t hoping it was better but the roof system was a pain to get right so I got rid and then went back to the Tuscans having had another 3, My current car is a Tuscan , I'm now aged 70 and when it comes to TVR's I feel half my age however the body tells me otherwise I just hope I can keep going until the Grim Reaper calls I'm sure you can understand that,So iv'e had a total of 23 cars in 30 years which I have totally enjoyed every minute of the fun you have with them, Regards, Allan.
