Prototype so as per the previous one is it going to look anything like this when it actually comes out?

I wonder if releasing this concept so soon after the current R launch will damage sales?
I know if I was in the market for one I would now hold off.

The three pipes will just be the exit from the rear exhaust box, which will probably have one or two pipes running into it from the downpipe(s).
Would personally prefer a set up more akin to the Focus ST, Leon Cupra K1 or Astra VXR in that case. Would look sleeker and be cheaper/simpler to replace!

I really like the current FK2 and would definitely like to own one, this looks like a right pigs ear though.

Ugly yes, but some people like it. If you are one of those that like it and bought the previous model brand new this year you must be kicking yourself.

A new CTR every year? Can't be good for residuals.

We won't see this until late 2017 I'm guessing.

Exhausts... new NSX has 3 too iirc..... I'm guessing Honda are concentrating on the sound with the 3 pipes as the current one is kinda lack lustre.

And yes, still a prototype, but I do like the brushed steel finish.

Jesus that is ugly.

Compare that to good looking Honda's like the DC5 or S2000. Ewwwww

I had a test drive of the current one a few months ago and was advised then by the sales rep to hold off buying because a refresh was on the horizon? Bizarre thing to say to someone test driving a car, but hey ho.. I took his advice!

If you're on a lease deal that has a fixed monthly cost I can't see the problem at the moment. I wonder how many people bought an FK2 and paid cash?

Love this! Better looking than the FK2. I won't be cancelling my RS order though.

This looks absolutely wild. I love it! It's got the visual drama that the Focus RS is lacking.

I used to be a massive Honda fan but that is a hideous, bloated, irredeemable mess.

Hideous, they have made a just as bad job on that as they did with the FK & FN.

The EP was the best shape imo. This is just a Subaru clone.

I like the aggressive looking front and not bad from front quarter too, but from the back it has a hint of a Hyundai Veloster, which isn't so good

Nah, EG was the pinnacle. EK was too bug eyed and EP was a bread van. I didn't mind the FN as the shape was actually nice, just had far too much fussy detail but FK and this are disasters. They look like a generic hatchback out of a GTA game.

Apart from the triple exhausts I love it in an inner child kind of way. Looks more resolved than the current one. Only nit picks are the exhausts and whatever's going on at the hinges for the hatch looks odd. Looks pretty much the same as the mules so production version will be very similar.

Glad they are releasing it so soon, it will hopefully torpedo current Type R values and I can have one at a reasonable price. (NB £32k for a hot hatch is never "reasonable")
