I found a key the other day. Is it yours? it went Up, down Up, down again, then a little jagged up, two jagged downs, then a straight flat bit, then another jagged up bit.

I've heard they have the key AND THE SECRET wink
When you find it, bear in mind that Madonna has the lock.
And I'm sure madonna told me that I have the key.

Right OP, glad we've solved it. I'll look tonight in my man drawer.

I don't see the point of having spare car keys - which you would use when you lock your keys in your car (presumably) - in your house. Surely you'd have them with you, in case you locked your keys in your car? You could be hundreds of miles away from home; what good are spare keys at home then?

They're good when you go abroad on holiday. You carry one, missus carries the other. Nothing worse than a broken/lost/de-synced/locked away car key when you're a thousand miles from home....

The dealership has called back. They don't have the key.

New one £400.

"I know, I'll put this somewhere really safe, I'll definitely remember that I've put it..." is always a dangerous phrase to utter.

Is it actually in the car somewhere? The glovebox? The door pocket? Did you leave the house with a different bag that you don't normally use one day and put it in there for safe keeping?

Have you been on holiday recently? Perhaps you hid it in a shoe box in the shed with all your other keys while you were away, like I do.

Oh st

This could be an explanation. When we have had building work done I have sometimes moved valuables elsewhere. I may have done so just as I received an important call or some such and forgotten that I have done it.

Your wife has it.
Two people have access to a key.
The key is gone.
One person does not have it.
Who has the key?

She has it. Ask her nicely.

She has no reason to have it. It is a car she rarely drives and if she does she uses the main key.

Buy a replacement and the missing key will appear within 24 hours.

I'm glad I knew where the spare key was when my gf locked hers in the boot on Tuesday evening.

I heard stories that certain cars had a spare under the washer bottle from the factory. (Talking 60s/70s model here).

When Mrs Get lost her key I told her it would cost her £264 to replace it.

She found it.

I haven't got it, and I haven't got mine either.

One key when bought, dealer wants ~£320 for a new one. I know I'm going to have to bite soon. ...
