I wandered down the drive to check my post box and discovered two cars through my front hedge !

No injuries but needless to say they were blaming each other, it seems that they were both following a slow lorry and as Car A was overtaking Car B, Car B decided to overtake the lorry too meaning they punted each other into my hedge.

In the absence of witnesses I presume it will go 50:50 so presumably I have to claim for a bit of hedge off each one.

I have pics and names / address but not insurers do I wait a few weeks for the arguments to settle ?

I believe most insurers have a hedge fund available for such occurrences

I always wondered what a hedge fund manager did...

I would hedge your bets and claim off both.

Unbeleafable. I hope their insurers get to the root of the issue in apportioning blame.

Surely this is a privet matter.

Yew wood be better off to just leaf it to the insurers to sort out.

On a more serious note a lady in the next village from me woke up one Saturday morning to find a car smashed into a tree in her garden. The guy was over the DD limit and went straight on at a bend and hit head on..

He was in the car dead when she found it.

I don't beleaf it!

But separately I can't believe you didn't twig the accident straight away, sure you'll find the owners on tinder should the insurance companies details not be provided

I'm guessing that wasn't a 50:50 claim?

Don't expect so. She was lucky in one respect though, he missed the flower bed and pond on the way in.

I think the done thing is to claim the whole amount off each person, and then let them or their insurers fight it out. They will decide who pays what to ensure you are not out of pocket.

I do hate people who post OT threads. This should be in Off Road.

I bet she was stumped. Was it on a trunk road?

She didn't hear a car hitting her tree hard enough to kill someone?

She must sleep like the dead.
