Really? I can't see that myself. If you're parallel parking you reverse in? I would have thought left rear. Maybe it's just me.

It's when people pull up alongside a kerb, they generally drive towards the left to tuck in off the road and misjudge how wide the car is. First thing to grind the pavement is the alloy face. When people parallel park they often get the angle wrong and the tyre shoulder hits the kerb instead of the alloy.

As for how can a mirror look at the front left wheel, I once thought about mounting a small mirror underneath the left door mirror, angled forwards to show the alloy. However the window line is too high on my car, wouldn't work. Need a camera in the mirror looking forwards!

Look at a set of a few cars. I'd put money on the clear winner for kerbing is the front left.
