Many times.

Went to see a TVR that was in superb condition etc. Turned up to find seats missing and dashboard all taken out to be sent to the restorers. Not saying the car was bad BUT I was just annoyed that could not take it for a test drive. Plus to be fair to them IF it had been all there that would have been the one I purchased.

Another TVR from a main car dealer. Took hours to get there only to find all the wheels were scuffed, exhaust pipes were rusty but the worse bit was a huge crack in the bonnet. Dealer then says that they don't really known anything about these cars and not sure what it is worth. Maybe I could have had a deal with him but to be honest the car looked 'tired' and looked like one that would have many problems.

Drove from Sheffield to Stirling to look at a "Mint" Porsche 944.

The car was far from a shed but wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. It had been described as immaculate by the seller on the phone but his definition was clearly different to mine.

The seller had to fetch the car from a lock-up just down the road, and he brought it around with the number plates turned around (it looks better in the photos apparently). In doing so, he passed a police car parked on the road, who promptly popped by after dealing with their previous incident to issue him £100 fine for not displaying number plates. To make matters worse, the car also had no MOT!

A day out of my life I will never get backfrown
