My '93 2.2 VTEC is one of the cars I've kept for the longest. Over 5 years I think. Never seemed to be anything about to change it for.
It was finally looking like it had the potential to cost more than it's value to keep when I sold it in 2002. Intermittent 4ws and engine management problems that local garage couldn't diagnose and Honda main agent wanted a fortune just to guess at the faults, along with recurring wheel arch corrosion meant she went for a new Mini Cooper with the reliability I needed for long journeys.
Wish I'd had the funds to stick it in the garage for a keeper as still miss the VTEC and 4WS.
Do still browse the classifieds for another now I've got the disposable income for a cheap weekend car, but never any about in nice original condition in the North of Scotland. This one was tempting apart from it would cost me half that again to get it up here and it's not silver like my last..

Remember them testing this model against the 4-pot Fiat Coupé and Rover Coupé Turbo

Thanks for another magazine scan s_m, when one of the production runs ended, I think the Fiat Coupe, Autocar tested it against the last generation Prelude and concluded that while the instant go and liveliness of the Fiat Coupe had much appeal they thought the Prelude was more of a slow burn that would impress more over a longer period of use, ownership.
