This is the full list of offensive words considered in Ofcom's study on attitudes to swearing on TV and Radio. Wot, no arse biscuit or cockwomble? Either way, surely it offers one off scope to discuss the content of the report in a literary, academic and libertarian way, without redress.. wink

So there are lots of terms specifically offensive to women, gay men, all religions and races but none that are seen as specifically offensive to men.

Is that because 'men' don't get offended, or is it that 'men' created most of these words.

Git is offensive?

Lost track of the amount of times I've called my boss a git, or worse.

Punani is offensive? I saw it more as a term of endearment.

Especially while trying to keep it non-offensive, hence...

I once knew a Ginger Jock who, due to an unfortunate childhood accident, had one of his Balls removed, although as he got older he still liked to go on the odd Bender, just not when he was driving his classic Midget, or on a Sunday, as he was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and an ardent Jehovah's Witness, which led, in circumstances too strange to report here, to him losing two fingers while trying to preach the word of the Lord through someone's letterbox; this resulted in him having to go to hospital with them stored in an Old Bag.

How Rude!! wink

Likewise. Lots missing too.

FOP got the loudest laugh, mostly because I didn't know what it was until I followed the asterisk and saw its brilliant simplicity.

I can see this being cut out and carefully sellotaped to lockers in schools up and down the country.

I see they haven't got "Joey" in the list. Clearly none of the editors were brought up in the 80s.

I always thought it was one of the characters in Lion King.
