They should worry more about their readership figures.

you can usually take whatever he says with a pinch of salt, this is the same bloke that said in the last pay deal we're basically paid to much as it is and that what they have offered is too good already. And when he walked round the car park he asked why its full of Fords and not JLR cars

very odd man, who says some very odd things.

The Guardian didn't just pull this story from their rear-end. They were quoting the boss off JLR.
..and we all know how much we can trust the heads of big businesses

A whole page story made up of a single, 1 line quote, which as others have pointed out, is clearly bks anyway.
Actual sales figures or GTFO.

More fool the idiots that don't buy the car they actually want because they're grumpy about Brexit

It's just rubbish. Plenty on JLR products in Munich the other week, usual headline making nonsense.

This shows all foreigners are stupid, since the £ has fallen considerably against the € and hence the cars and parts will be much cheaper. Or possibly it's just the typically left-wing motivated bks that the Gruniad touts as journalism.

I spoke to someone from Lotus shortly after the vote and all their European customers were desperate to pay off their cars long before delivery, can't think why!

Who cares?

People, and the guardian need to remember the world is MUCH bigger than the EU. Asia, America, Russia etc....

But then that wouldn't play into the guardians fear mongering hands...
Erm, I think I agree with your overall point (this is gutter press), but... are you suggesting JLR sell cars to the Atlantic Ocean?

Because the EU, Asia, America & Russia pretty much DOES cover most of the world - at least, the vast majority of the world you can sell mass-market cars to.

confused

You've misread. There's a full stop after EU. He's saying we should worry less about the EU and its 500m population and more about the other 7bn people elsewhere eg. Asia, America etc.

So, lefty Socialist journalist in lefty paper whining and spreading halfwitted lies because the UK voted to leave the EU Socialist Super State

Maybe, just maybe it is just more stupid propaganda aimed at the fast disappearing rump of the horse that bolted the gate, long ago part 847483

Maybe we should just let in some more illegal immigrants and grovvel our way back into the EU, so our friends the French will buy more British cars once again.

The UK was never within Schengen AFAIK so what difference does leaving the EU make to illegal immigration ?

Load of bks.

What kind of punter goes to a JLR showroom (which only sells british cars) just to say "I'm not buying this, brexit."? IMO the only people who want to do this weren't punters anyway.
If the JLR top brass have heard that excuse, I'm calling it salesman's excuses.

I've stopped reading the Guardian, it's becoming hysterical at times. Has it changed ownership or new Editor over the past 1-2yrs? Seems to have become more focused on headline grabbing

You're not expecting reality and logic to suddenly apply, are you?
