A fool and his money. It's a British export so I hope they sell thousands to footballers, oil princes and Russian, erm, businessmen. That really is a very well crafted piece of poor taste.

I've been a Land Rover fan for years, and owned three. However, blingy pimped up Ranger Rovers are the most horrendous looking things on British roads.

That's pretty abysmal in my opinion, not that I could afford a quarter of one.

Truly bad.

You've all seen how the Land/Range-Rover, Rolls-Royce and Bentley models are going. These are the people with the money. Footballers, "celebrities", drug dealers, city boys, Americans, Oligarchs, wannabe versions of all the above and, last but not least, China, with India and Brazil waiting in the wings. Personally, I think it is quite tasteful in comparison to their Kahn neighbours a few miles down the road in Bradford. Come to think of it, it is tasteful in comparison to some of the stuff coming out of Crewe and Goodwood too, but he who pays the piper calls the tune, and it is generating a lot of money for the UK, and keeping skilled traditional craftsmen and tradesmen in well paid work.

Somebody once said that SUV's & 4x4's are designed to move our souls. In many cases their target market has been hit.

Those Khan Range Rovers top the bill for general horrendousness. I can't imagine I would ever want to go for a pint with someone who strutted around in one of those (says the chav with the hot hatch addiction).

I think the last true Overfinch was the 580S based on the old L322 but even that was made redundant when Land Rover launched the Supercharged.

No more engineering and they do little more than tacky body kits, questionable wheels and interior trim these days unfortunately.

Of note is that Land Rover are about to launch their own SVO inspired bodykit and interior trims for the L405 which may be the final nail in the coffin for Overfinch unless they can actually offer something new.

I'd trade a lung for one of these. I can't find any interest in this new one though.

It's rapid fall in value after purchase will be significant enough to cause a wobble in the global financial markets. Woe betide us if they tick any options.

They've taken an expensive and quality product (other than LR reliability) and ruined it.
I run a Range Rover as my daily driver.

I hate to disappoint you, but it's actually not that much of a quality product: the build quality, fit and finish is nothing like as good as the Mercedes S-class that I owned before (and which I'm planning to replace the RR with shortly).

No Range Rover, no matter how blinged-up, is worth £100K, much less £250K...

This is the ultimate in indulgent automobile snobbery. I hate these things with a vengeance. They devour huge amounts of fuel, take up massive amounts of space on the road and in car parks and are simply all about one upmanship. The price of this however is just a joke.

250K for a tractor with leather seats and aircon? You can keep it.

Yep, 2010.

They got saved and resuscitated, though, by their Leeds dealer. Unfortunately.

Jesus wept.
I bet that's illuminated by blue LEDs at night, too...
Utterly vile.

We've had a couple of Range Rovers go out where the customer has had the Range Rover badge lettering removed from the rear tailgate and replaced with their surname.

For those times when a chavplate is just too tasteful and subtle for your ego...

As much as you may find it distasteful, I bet it's absolutely lovely to drive up to Scotland in!

If I'd won £143m I probably wouldn't buy one, but I'm sure it's nice enough when you're in it.

The guy who used to own and run Overfinch now has a small garage near me. Popped in there the other day and there's a bunch of nice classic cars being restored/worked on and there were a couple of defenders having sodding great big yank V8s fitted in them.
