Does buy comfort which I bet this has though.
Comfort? Not on that ridiculous slammed suspension.

Standard car wins hands down.
They dont alter the suspension or any other mechanical parts, its pictured in access mode!

Yes, it's had a varied life since I had it, including being a wedding taxi in the Netherlands!
Interesting - a few years back I agreed to buy this car for not a lot from its Dutch owner (who had apparently bought the 630R featured on Top Gear towing the Focus) - guy looking after it for him fried a BCM or something jumping it, and it ended up going elsewhere. I understood it had also been owned by one of the bosses at Rimmer Bros.

Rimmers did have it (I came across an advert copied from a mag online), they got it through the trade from the Subaru dealer I part exchanged it to for a (much more reliable) Spec B Legacy, although I think they sold it on fairly quickly, ironically to someone not far from me in South London after its trip to Lincolnshire!

It's surprisingly easy to track its sales online by doing a Google image search for Overfinch 630R. A great car at the time but a world of pain financially...

I've no doubt (believe it was reshelled when first registered too) - still regret not ending up with it though.

It was originally due to go to South Africa but I understand something was dropped on the bonnet before it got shipped, so I don't think it got reshelled but did end up with a new (official) VIN. I had some grief when I got it off ADI as the registration document didn't quite match the VIN plate due to a typo so I had to get a replacement VIN plate with paperwork.

Remember the V5 had it listed as being built from parts - corresponded with someone from ADI who thought it may have been one of several squashed in then-new car transporters when the decks were incorrectly set - apparently ADI had the contract to deal with LR's salvage (or something along those lines).

Hi, Yes to Rimmerbros, When I bought the 630r Last year it was a little neglected........ No lie! I chopped in my own Overfinch for the 630r, I should have driven the car a little longer on test driving.

It took some time to sort out, One major was the Gear-selector switch on gearbox(expensive-new), Brake switch-Behind Pedal out of place and was disconnecting the live feed to the dash P,R,D 123.

The BECM was replaced in the NL's, New fuse Box /Relays etc. And new Taylor HT Leads and correct Spark plugs later it runs superb. There were a few things to go through but was worth every penny. It's a monster on wheels, More of a American - Pickup than Range rover, Everything still works.! Tremendous drive.

I've done about 9,000 miles in her, If driven sensibly you'll get good MPG even long runs....... But its hard to keep your foot light.

All in all its nice to see people know about my 630r.
Now looking for another LSE 5.7 in my life so 630r is currently for sale.

regards
G

Congratulations G, or possibly commiserations smile
It was always a beast, glad to see it still going strong. Good luck with the sale.
