Well, after around 6 months of having cctv bolted to my head i have now had something happen that morally bothers me.

Idiots on mobile phones is very common, but today had one coming at me on the wrong side of the road, round a blind corner. I managed to stop, a foot away from the curb and she still almost hit me.

Car packed full of Ikea st, both driver and passenger just looking down at there phones.

It is on head cam, good video quality but you cannot make out the diver on her phone (You can the passenger).

I am minded to send it in to plod. For two reasons.

1. i am fed up of people prioritizing face book over driving
2. if this is in anyway representative of her normal driving then she really does need a good telling off.

Do i report it and become one of "them", if so... how ?

Call 101 and report it.
They might not be able to do anything, but if the person does end up in a collision due to phone use, it will be on record that it's not an isolated incident.

Take the camera off your helmet and put it in drawer at home, this has 2 distinct benefits, it stops you looking like a prick and you don't have to worry about what to do with the footage so you can get on with your life.

This. Hopefully it might (just might) reduce the amount of knobbish driving on the road.

It may not be much of an issue to some plonkers (probably do it themselves) but they cause so many crashes and deaths it's a very serious matter. As mentioned, send it over to them and see what they say.

Ok, ready for the non event wible cam warrior comments.

The issue is not what happened, but what was a foot away from happening because she was being an idiot and face txting instead of driving.

Video is muted because of my choice language
Video is a shot clip because nothing else happened. I rode away after.

Whilst you've not done anything illegal, to me it looks like you were riding too fast and barely compensated for her illegal and completely retarded driving.

No offence.

I came to a complete stop a couple feet from the curb and waited for her to run me over whilst debating in my mind if I should bail from the bike all together.

Please tell me what else i should have done?

Not sure if serious, but muppet driving on the wrong side of the road should not be one of the hazards to anticipate.

Personally, I'd pass this on to the police, but they won't be able to do anything as you can't even see the occupants of the car in that footage, so it can't be proven who's driving. In fact, you can barely see the reg

Fekin Micra as well.

Micra, Yaris, Jazz and Prius. Worse drivers on the road.

Considering that the test is tougher than in my day, how do these people get licences?

Had someone do a very similar thing to me last night.
Except in my case the car in front of them was half way into a driveway to the left and the dcensoredk just couldn't wait/hadn't bothered slowing down so swerved right over onto my side of the road to get round them.

The only saving grace was the look of terror on the drivers face when they realised they'd really fcensoredked up. At least they weren't totally oblivious.
