Followed the entire rally in 84 or 85 (cant quite remember)

6R4's howling and barking in the damp, misty keilder forest. S4's and T16's whining, banging and flashing and the Sport Quattro's S1 E2 turbo's indescribable stall/surge as the Umluft system combusted fuel in the turbine (NOT WASTEGATE or DUMP VALVE sound !) gives me shivers even now...

Or is that remembering the damp, misty bit.

More recently, a McLaren SLR in Lancaster.
