If Brits (or anybody else) were actually buying them, Ford would be building them.

There's always lots of heroic chatter on internet forums; then people trot out and buy a diesel Golf or an SUV.
Yep pretty much.

At the end of the day the hype for this car was ridiculous. It was all about the V8 engine, for which you'd pay £35K and get a car with the quality of something costing £15K. If you bought the Ecoboost version then you'd buy a car with a Mustang badge that wasn't really a Mustang.

An overhyped car that is very average.

And if you wanted to buy a V8 from ze germans you'd pay what? 50k? 60k? And get something with a quality of a 35k car so it all works itself out smile

Plenty of new ones around in Florida, I had a nice convertible one for 11 days. they're all the v6's not the ecoboost turbo (V6 is the base model as it's down a few hp and MPG wise) I found the box was a bit slow to switch but was perfectly fun to drive and actually had the right balance of gizmo's useful stuff vs pointless technical wkery. Slightly surprised the roof had a manual release but there you go!

Apparently the Camaro has a smaller boot in convertible form, while the hire company advises the mustang can take just 2 suitcases I squeezed 3 in daily just fine and was actually pretty surprised (as a 350z owner here!) Didn't like the over magnification on the drivers mirror though.

After blagging a passenger lap in a particularly well driven 5.0 around the 'ring last month, I have to change my option about poor handling American cars, it was actually really impressive and sounded great with an aftermarket exhaust.

We only had 1 case between us that had to go on the back seat of the Camaro as it couldn't fit in the boot, this was seat belted down to stop it being knicked / hitting us in an accident. With 2 big cases you'd be in trouble. However I still think it's the better car.

lol it does make me laugh when people post such rubbish as this. I can only assume that

a) you've never been in a £15k car
b) nor a £35k one either.

That is indeed Magnetic. Same as mine..... the best colour wink

I wanted to like the yellow but it's too lemony. The metallic blue looks like it could be nice, but hard to tell from the configurator.

I hope the UK cars are better than the yank versions. I had a new one (less than 2K miles) in the States last month, it was ste, slightly less nasty inside than the last version but still handled poorly & the new eco engine managed about 1-2 mpg more but its performance was noticeably worse unless in Sport mode then it was too highly strung round town for normal driving. The Camero is a better car, must insist on one of those next time
