Not badly driven or anything, but it is the only car I've overtaken on a country road purely to not have to stare at that anymore. Would prefer a literal warthog behind if I've got to look at something ugly.
That's what makes the Micra/Zafira etc so bad being stuck behind. At least a Defender you can admire the design, same for being stuck behind an old classic. Even some of the BMW mentioned earlier have some redeeming features. But knowing some cars are so hatefully dull makes me overtake just so I no longer have to look at it.

I did 300 miles today half of it on B roads and as usual the worst offender was a Honda Jazz (in that light blue metallic colour). Got the full suite of flashing lights AND horn blast after a quick overtake on a short straight!

Relieved to see my car, Honda Jazz, is featured in most of the thread posts.

This is a proud moment for the marque.

I would like to thank...

No, I do not honk and flash when overtaken, I would rather have a default speeder in front than behind.

Not mine. They aren't fast cars, but you normally run out of driving license before they run out of power, as they are quite happy to cruise a long at 100mph. The problem I have is when I try to "make progress", Mr Powerfully-Built PH Director's cock shrinks when he sees a Jazz looming large in his leased, rear view mirror and makes if difficult to overtake.

If your going to come out with stereotypes like that then you must be a 90 year old woman called Doris.

It's true though. I've come up behind people on motorways in large German saloons and they start to speed up then eventually pull over, but as I creep past I can see them glancing over looking smug. Not an issue on the bike.

I live in a rural area and have a 1st class driving road right on my doorstep. The rub is that unless you get out at 0600hrs said road is littered with horsey riders, cyclists and old biffers driving Nissan notes' and Skoda Yetis'.

It isn't people -of any age - driving the cliched examples of Notes and Picassos that are a problem if I am out in the Seven . They are driven slowly and are easy to overtake swiftly. Far worse are Insignias, A4s etc who seem to want to demonstrate that despite being 1500kg lardarses they can still defy the laws of physics by going quicker than something with 400bhp/tonne . Worst of all are bikers who are in denial some cars are much quicker on bendy roads than they can dream of . I always will make a point of helping bikes to overtake me but only once has the favour been returned ....

The car or driver in front isn't as annoying as the reactions you get when you overtaken them. Horns/headlights, sudden need to try and chase you down at 60mph when they'd previously been happy at 20mph.

There's a road near me that is a 25mph limit. No junctions for 2 miles. Most people drive it far faster than that.
Over took a Merc C200d a few days ago, who was dawdling at under the 25mph limit. He then tried to chase me the 4 miles into town biggrin Quite why he went from being in no hurry whatsoever to wanting to chase me down, I have no idea.

If someone catches me dozing and overtakes me, I just think 'nice one, mate'. I don't spend the next 10 minutes thinking I'm Liam Neeson and trying to hunt them down.

Sounds interesting.

What have you done to it to allow it to keep up with a car that should be much, much faster?

Yes, Willy Nilly should have done a build thread, it must be quite a beast...

Is 100mph the combined speed of the three Honda Jazz's quoted?

My Lord, What are rural roads for if not the equine and vehicular transport that you quote?

Generally diesel and generally driven by people who don't know how to crack on (even though they think they do). Don't try to overtake them though as they zoom up behind you.

More prevalent in wintry conditions as the ultimate driving machine is fooked in snow and ice, unless you have proper tyres on.

Easy one.

Hyundai i10.

The moment one of those things pulls out in front of you (no matter where you are) you are going nowhere quickly.
