Mad price.....

No-one has bit my hand off for one with 40 K miles at £30 K

So back into storage it goes for another winter.
Where did you advertise that, I have been looking for the right LC for sometime and have just bought one. If I had seen one for sale at £30k with 40k miles I would have ripped your arm off...
Looks like this thread may have resulted in a LC purchase that's what PH is all about.

bd Child is going to be £30k up rolling into Xmas happy days
Doesn't the other guy say he's just bought one though?

Are two examples of the same car worth having? One to look at one to use?

Yes I bought it about three weeks ago, just having some powder coating done on the rear sub-frame, drive shafts and other bits, will pick it up mid November.

I also have two Audi RS2`s, yes two cars are good, mileage is kept down on each car if you share the time spent on the road, between the two.

Not advertising it anywhere - car club I'm in knows it's for sale - anyone serious in hunting for one would be advised to buy a "known" car

Mines a bit difficult to sell due to it's previous history - and the fact I've owned it and I don't treat it like a show and shine car

Previous History - well this should cover it

That's a proper arse job

Make sure you mark the left and right "Tie rods" - they are frequently different lengths and a cow to fit even when they are fitted on the correct side

Good to see a car used as it was designed to be rather than a hidden away car who's owner is greedy for appreciation only.

Oh and get new bearings first before you get the arms done

Getting the stub axles out is so much fun - demonstrated by ABS club Member Richard Brunt

Mine should be coming in very much the same condition as yours is, that's why im having to wait for the work and re-build to be completed.

I'm not sure anything is left to do on mine - Oh apart from paint - I really dislike getting cars painted as it does nothing for the car but it's what everyone looks at - if you are buying an LC the last thing you should be looking at is paint!!!!

Oh trust me - it gets used hard

It gets maintained well too - very frustrating car sometimes - I've had it 16 years and still have a love hate relationship with it

When it's good - it's very very good - when it's bad........ well it's very bad

R&E Hendersons(Chic Henderson) has had this car probably since the early to mid nineties. It has spent much of its life in his showroom with other collectable cars. It does (used to) get used, but not often. If I remember right one of his sons put it or another one into a field without using the gate.

Mines had paint as it has just had new wings, front chassis rails and cills on both sides. I will post some pictures up once I get it.

I think Hendersons have probably had that car from new but Ive heard a rumour that the mileage was questionable.

Sounds as if he's probably not too fussed if it sells then

I guess he figures it puts the 'Wot's your best price mate' brigade off asking him if it's for sale every few days! hehe

Excellent idea - however what normally happens in the unused car becomes a spares car to support the running one biggrin
