recommend me a courier for UK to USA parcel delivery

Can anyone recommend a decent courier service for parcels from the UK to the USA?
Service and resonable price?
massive variation in price between companies that I have looked at through sites such as transglobal express etc...

We use Royal Mail for sending packages. under 3 kg.
Very reliable and reasonable.

its looking like they are all much the same (package is 7kg by the way)
The big couriers giving better prices than parcel force, but when you add the insurance up to cover the value they are all about the same price give or take a couple of quid.

Oddly Fedex were quoting almost double everyone elses prices...

DHL, FedEx or UPS will give you a next day service to most parts of the US.

FedEx and UPS are both excellent. The services are reliable and both the drivers that deliver and collect from my business every day are great guys. Last bit doesn't help you, OP, but it means I'm a repeat customer!

https://www.parcel2go.com/ is a comparison site and you can normally get much better rates there than the couriers' list prices.
