Was down near Troon yesterday and over the period of an hour I saw maybe 5 BA planes land at Prestwick, along with all the usual Ryanair flights. Just curious what they were up to as BA don't fly from Prestwick. Training? Engineering? Something else?

Ah - that explains it, thanks. I did wonder if it was the same plane but was too far away to see.

Happens regularly at Prestwick. Not seen BA recently, though Concorde used to go round the circuit there.
Recently, I've seen EasyJet, Ryanair & Jet2 going round the circuit, also a year or so ago Virgin's Dreamliners were doing touch & gos at Prestwick. Always worth keeping an eye on Flightradar to see what's in the area.
