Just popping back onto this forum to enquire about my old Moonraker Black 400SE H788POC which I owned from 2000 until 2009. Is it still around?

I owned this car for a while and made some improvements on it. It was an awesome car with a great performance and sound. It was the hotwire as it was quite a late car and because of that it didn't pop as much but was otherwise very loud. I think it may have been the loudest out of five wedges I have ever owned. I sold it about three years ago to a really nice guy who lived in Radlett. That was the car I had changed the dash to stainless steel and it suited the car well I thought as the car was black on the outside. I think the new owner who bought it from me changed it all back to veneer. The car is still around and well looked after as far as I'm aware. I hope that has helped in your search. Here are a couple of photos when I had the car.

Very nice - I do like black, even though they tend to show the dirt more than some other colours.

Many thanks for the quick replies: great to see it still going and well looked after. Loved that car (although it took a highly experienced vehicle electrician a long time to sort out the "DIY Immobiliser" that a previous owner had fitted!)

I will follow the auction, but sadly won't be buying it back: these days I need a little more space with my horsepower.

I'm not sure that is the same car in the auction. The auction car is stated as having a 4.6 engine and the interior looks grey to me from the picture. My car had a 4.0 engine and black interior.

You are right - that isn't H788POC. The car at auction is a G Plate and was previously listed for sale here:

And from the interior pics it is clearly not our old car.

That proves it then. That is not our old beast. About a year after I sold it I met the guy again at the BBWF and that's how I know he returned the dash back to veneer. As far as I know he still owns it and owns other powerful cars too, so H788POC is in good hands. I believe he was on this forum for a while so he may look in and update us.

Hi

Just had a look at the forum after about a month of not logging on!!

Yes I do still own the Wedge! It's been off the road for the last few months and has had the gearbox out and repaired as the connection to the speedometer wasn't working but it's now back and the car is being put back together. Will hopefully be back on the road early in the new year

I have missed it while it's been away but I think it soon might be the time to move it on to another home as I just don't drive it enough but once it comes back and I drive it again I might change my mind. It's a really great car and I have done a lot of work to it over the last few years returning the dash to veneer, upgrading the suspension, giving the gearbox a full overhaul and numerous other small jobs

It's in good hands in the garage with a 911, R8 V10, RR Sport and a Triumph Vittesse!

I'll be back on here more regularly but I see there are very few Wedges for sale on here any more where have they all gone
