Had the M3 for three years now and it's been great, but it's age is starting to show and I don't think I can justify the cost of maintaining it with a young family in tow.

We run a Focus ST estate for family duties and its a seriously capable machine.

I think as I get older I'm realizing I want a fast car with some luxury and some Practicality. The Focus ST hit this mark.

But when I get rid of the M3 I'm thinking about going for a TTS or TTRS.

I barely drive as it is but hopefuly a TT would not be a bad motor with a bit of a engine tune?

The TTS seems great VFM at the moment. I am not a hairdresser lol.

Any opinions on the TTS or TTRS on here?

I am well aware the M3 will be one of the best cars I have ever owned.

EDIT: New car must accommodate 2 kids on back

Thanks

If you want a comfortable sports 2 seater, surely a Cayman should be top of the list?

The TT RS is a cracking car especially that engine, no it's not a Cayman but if you want one of those buy a Cayman test drive them & then make up your mind.

Apologies. The car must at least be a 2+2 so Caymen is out of the question.

And its only kids in back.

Don't think a TT is suitable in the back for anything other than very very very occasional journeys, even for kids, unless both people in the front are five foot nothing.

How about an M135i?

Had a TTS and they're an effortlessly quick car but I think after the M3 you may find it a fair bit less engaging, although their weight and size make them feel nice and nimble though.

I ran a E92 M3 and the TTS at the same time for a while and I actually preferred the TTS as a daily because the M3 only really worked best at really high revs.
