Car's Similar to Suzuki Swift Sport...
Discussion
Anyone got any good recommendations of cars that are similar to the Suzuki Swift Sport. I.E: cars that look hot-hatchy but acutally don't have the hot hatch power and acceleration
So far I've got (similar to Suzuki Swift Sport)
Seat Ibiza FR SportsCoupe
Vauxhall Astra GTC Coupe
Fiesta Zetec S RED/BLUE/BLACK (I think) editions
Polo R-Line (not the super low powered range- think it's called the 'Style')
Any other suggestions?

Because I'm 22 and can't afford the insurance on a proper hot hatch, but love those sort of looks :P
I was in your shoes around your age (well a little younger), I too liked the look of the sporty insurance friendly versions. I even had a thing for prefering cars that had their fog lights in the front too.Just look at pretty much any hatchback out on the market 99% of the time there will be a trim level that's sporty looking while being insurance friendly. bear in mind those trim levels still tend to be slightly higher in insurance then normal specs. visiting a website like parkers will give you an idea when you check the reviews of which trim levels will be the sporty/body kit variant.
it also all depends on what era/year of car you are going for as it sometimes changes.
ford has always had the zetec S.
vauxhall- SXI/SRI
toyota- SR
citoren- VTS/VTR
etc..
however now ford have dropped the zetec s and replaced it with 'st line' which is essentially the same thing.

Oh yes, been keeping an eye on Parkers as I search. As the the Fiesta, the ST Line has deeper sports styling, which loos way better than the older Zetec S model.Just look at pretty much any hatchback out on the market 99% of the time there will be a trim level that's sporty looking while being insurance friendly. bear in mind those trim levels still tend to be slightly higher in insurance then normal specs. visiting a website like parkers will give you an idea when you check the reviews of which trim levels will be the sporty/body kit variant.

Had a look at the different Twingos that have been mentioned, and not sure I could live with the speedo being in the centre and the rev counter above the steering wheel.
It's pretty cool I found and on track it was good having the rev counter in easy view.It also goes green when it's redline time
i'm going to turn the spoon and ask why are you looking at brand new cars if you can't afford insurance for a hot hatch? are you a new driver? why aren't you looking at cheaper used cars for 1-3k instead of 10k+ vehicles that are going to cost even more in depriciation. if you can't afford something then be sensible and get something more affordable and sedade, build up your NCB and get something nicer when you are able to. not look at getting something for showing off while being skint.
you realise that money blown on insurance is something you'll never get back right? is it really worth spending £xxx extra on a warm hatch when you could get something normal and spend the rest on enjoying life.
