What is it with the pussies on here basking in smugness because they seem to think they have taken the moral high ground by leaving the keys to their cars downstairs and easily accessible to thieves?

About 4 in the morning they were woken up by banging at the front door. He went downstairs to see who is was. As he approached a voice shouted "It's the police open your door". My brother feeling that something wasn't right refused to open his door.
Using a crow bar or similar the gang then started to smash their way through his front door. At this point his girlfriend was going hysterical upstairs screaming out of the window pleading for help from neighbours.
My brother retrieved a knife from his kitchen and confronted the gang who were now in his hallway. On seeing the knife, one of them laughed and said" What you going to do with that big man?"
There was a bit of a standoff with my brother screaming at them to leave, but they started coming towards him. He had two choices, fight them and hope to live, or give them what they were after.
He had a set of keys for his company car lying nearby on a kitchen work top. He grabbed them and flung them at the intruders, who immedietly made off in his car and another they had stolen earlier in the evening.
My brother got a new company car later that week, a new door fitted to his house. Lost his voice for two weeks, and both he and his girfriend still have problems sleeping at night over a year later.
My brother got lucky.
Two of the gang responsible were caught that same night in my brothers car after a chase with the police. They had knifes in their possession.
Due to the serious nature of the offence they were held in remand. But my brothers incident was just a small part of the picture. There were numerous other victims.
The two thiefs eventually got released on bail as their case was not ready to be heard and the PF couldn't keep them on remand any longer.

The next victim wasn't so lucky. He caught them in his house looking for the keys to his Golf R. He tried to stop them and got stabbed 5 times for his effort.

Their act of 'violence' in entering my home will be met 10 fold with violence they will not be able to comprehend!
I will not be 'relying on the insurance'. Are you people even serious?

If any of you remember the recent thread on here about the tv program about the SAS - do you think any of those SAS men 'leave their keys downstairs' because the 'car is covered by the insurance'?
