Why does it matter? So what if they're a bit tubby, at least they are doing something about it. Attitudes like this really fk me off.
Because it's f**king stupid! Hope that clears it up for you!
Really? How does it affect you? You think people should choose what they wear just because you think it's stupid?

PS If they were really doing something about it they'd be on a proper training program not tootling round the country lanes looking like bell ends!
My mistake, I didn't realise that exercise isn't beneficial until cb1965 has approved the level of exertion.

Nope, they can wear what they like, it doesn't deter from the fact that it's stupid though!

OK, you've confirmed your ignorance, there's no minimum speed limit on UK motorways. Better brush up on that Highway Code before you set off on the roads again.
Minimum speed is zero I think - isn't there a prohibition on reversing on the motorway? *pedant*

Probably because men in lycra is a horrible look.
But it serves a purpose, unlike the tight fitting football top in Asda...
Maybe it does serve a purpose, but it's still not a good look. But each to there own.

Car drivers are many times less likely to kill you than lots of other vehicles.
from where I sit (in the driving seat) and in this town at certain places, cyclists are a thousand times more likely to commit Hari kARI, than get hit by a car. At one junction, I'm aware of cyclists paying more attention to their text messages than the road. perhaps with this crackdown, police will be as equally wiling to hand out tickets to cyclists. No- I thought not, as once out of sight ,there's no way of identifying a mad cyclist.

This particular affliction affects all road users equally - however it's only actually illegal while driving a motorised vehicle. It's obviously a dumb thing to do in any mode of transport though.

Do you have reading and/or comprehension difficulties?

Well, without getting into grammatical semantics you seem unable to understand that you can't really apply statistical significance to an an opinion.

I think you need to reflect on your own comprehension. Nowhere have I applied statistical significance to an an opinion.

Now, do you really want to derail a road safety discussion by focusing on people's clothing?

There is intelligent life in this thread after all.

It'll be better soon. It's impossible to text while wearing winter gloves.

I can't even get the phone out of my pocket.

Infact I spend more time driving in my car than on my bike.

Dammit am I a driver or a cyclist ?

Nothing wrong with seeing people in lycra. Helps you appreciate a nice ass - some of them are amazing!

Lycra might be the ideal clothing for cycling, but IMO it's a really bad look.

A wetsuit is a really good idea for diving but a really bad look. I don't think either are designed for the look.
