Identical to mine. Just love it.
Two grey ones live directly across the road from me (owner is a rugby league player so I think they're company cars) and I absolutely love them.

The only thing I don't like is the body coloured panel for the C-pillar. If that was grey plastic like the surrounding area it would look so much better, just looks like a big petrol filler cap that was put there as an afterthought.

Ah fair enough, I was going off the journalist quote - second half false information laugh

The 2.0 'Cloverleaf' was a good 30bhp up from the biggest boxer engine (1.7), and it made it a hell of a better car to drive. I had one and it went like a stabbed rat.
My old Cloverleaf. LOVED that little car. Full MOMO leather too. Not bad for £200

Loving the Fiat 130 Coupe.

Around 12 years ago I hesitated on buying a long-stored yet sound example - for £1250 frown

Ugly? Maybe in some parallel universe, but not in this one. That is stunning.
Yep, gorgeous things in real life, much longer and lower than they look in pics.
Huge fan of the SM and think its gorgeous.
Nice enough but the front and rear are a letdown.

redcard Ugly? Ugly?? I know, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and all that, but the Puma is quite a good-looking car to me, especially next to all the bland cr4p that was around at the same time - and the trying-too-hard stuff like the slasher victim that was the Fiat Coupé. Or maybe it's just me... getmecoat

I had a phase 1, also in biodegradable 'Once was Rosso' Red, and the special 'Quadrifoglio Verde' cloverleaf badges that change from green when new, to blue when about 5 mins old.

Alfas have made me obsessed with teledial alloys

Massive amount of bias here, naturally, but I've always been a fan of the original 1-Series, especially the Coupe (so I bought one). Not pretty, but definitely something about it - I always get positive comments about it, and probably prefer it to the more conventional, yet more boring looking 2 Series that replaced it.

Looks better in Silver though, with the M-Sport kit smile

In full fat M guise is somewhat iconic...

but yeah sadly in unadorned 'standard', it's not getting very close to the 'beautiful' part of 'ugly beautiful'

They are like the brassy girl in the pub that you shouldn't be looking at but you know you must. I love them!
laugh I like that and totally agree.... i take my brassy girl out on summer weekend's for some fun....
I hate you then. I think they're fantastic. Especially in Estoril.
I'm more partial to "Dakar yellow" hehe:
one of these days the pictures of your cars will be in a 2016 resolution and people won't have to squint

There's lots of cars on here which I wouldn't consider the slightest bit ugly. Love that Fiat 130. Agree with BMW 1 series though. Headlights too big and saggy sills make it look like a fat bd is driving it. I'd make room in the garage for a 1M though.

Wow. You've made a post not terribly flattering about BMW. I'm shocked, no really.

Anyway to me it's in the same category as the Alfa SZ - not conventionally attractive in the slightest, but definitely imposing, and unlike anything else on the road.

I would have posted the 1M but thought that was cheating smile

Imposing? Are you serious? Unlike anything on the road for a reason, it's ffin stupid.

To my eyes there is nothing ugly about that!
I bought a Corgi toy of one of those back in the day, just because it looked sooooo good. Dark green it was.

I do still think it's one of the best resolved shapes in US car design ever.

This spawned the fashion that is current now. If Jasper Conran did'nt have one of these in the design office when they penned the Mk1 Discovery I'll eat my socks.

Every current & past SUV has styling cues the Talbot Rancho featured!
