Wow. Stripes do not make a sports car

This thing is intruding into GTR territory. If you want performance, then you're wasting your timer with this. Its got about a billion kg to heft around, and needs all that extra mousepower just to move its lardarse up the road.

Next thing you know, the amg fanbois will be drooling over 700bhp (shhh, dont forget to mention the 2 tonne weight it will then have as well). Oh, and its tranny isnt worth a pinch of st either.
Yeah, GTR's are known for being super light aren't they. rolleyes

Where did Jaguar's forced induction v8 model with excellent body control and an arguably nicer interior and exterior get lost in this comparison?

I'd have said it was a more natural competitor than the M4

Unfortunately I'm not one of the small percentage who pays for cars in full, in cash. So like most mortals buying these cars I'm currently pricing up a new M4CP or C63S Coupe to order on finance (PCP) in the UK and theres currently very little between the two.
BMW have cut discounts and maintained the 5.9% on the M3/4, while Mercedes are offering better discounts on the C63 coupe at only 4.8% APR on PCP.

If you do a quick check on both manufacturers websites (and some calculations) you'll find the same deposit results in quite similar monthly payments.

Yes, you can get better discounts for the M4CP via websites or in the dealer but the same is true for the C63.

Considering the M3/4 is getting close to a 3 year old design now, I think its odd BMW are still charging these rates with this type of market competition. You get more value for money on the M5 as its down to 2.9% and M6 is 0%!

So given the Merc is a newer model, bigger engine, sounds better (without needing to pump it through the stereo), has a higher quality interior, more character and more options as standard this actually makes the C63S Coupe a bit of a bargain.

Its a shame as I really like the BMW M4CP looks and it would be my 3rd M Car, unless I turn to the dark side.

Test drives booked for Nov...

BTW.

By the time you spec up a GTR from the entry level Pure to the fuller fat Prestige, your in 911 territory! That changes things a lot...

I've looked at GTRs before and couldn't see using one as an every day, do everything car.

Yes, they are awesome machines with incredible technology that excel on the track and are blisteringly fast, but personally I have a sports bike for that so why bother.

The Merc, BMW, Alpha and Lexus are everyday cars converted into something special. Not the other way around.
