Normally see a topic where people post dirty pictures of their car over the winter but cannot see one this year.

I'm thinking along the lines of this

So post them up. There is something quite cool about special cars looking dirty cool

Favourite thread of the year!

It's not been done yet as it's still very mild, not seen any gritters as of yet! I used to run it as a game, where the car had to been clean and the start and then who ever goes the longest without cleaning wins.

My fiesta is filthy as is my golf. Will have to get pics

I see. So unless it's a Porsche parked in a garage/down side of house, we need not apply wink

Got it, thanks biggrin

Imo the OP's car isn't dirty so does not count either. Mine is as 'dirty' after one journey to work!

Dirty is when you have to clean the reg plate so its legible, clean the lights so their visible & clean the windows so you can see what's going on around you!!

I think off-roading is not included. That is dirty from one excursion. It's progressive dirtiness we should be looking at.

...and stop being a dick as usual. If it was one of your threads you'd definitely want people to comply.

Just washed mine, polished, then added a coat of autoglym's EGP. Looks nice and shiny (no pics), and will hopefully mean that it stays shiny for a bit longer now the roads are getting stier (or at least won't need much more than a quick hose-down to look reasonable).

I had to do that the other day. Had to pull over to clean the lights and windscreen as I couldn't see anything (picture was taken the day after).

Not even 50 miles driven since the last wash. I hate autumn weather, rain, cold, and masses and masses of salt...

Mine is about as bad as the Porsche at the top now, but I'll check back in after the week is done. 450 miles per week makes the dirt add up quickly.

Good thread, lets make it a genuine contest this year.

4x4 mud pluggers or supercars driven through a muddy field 5 minutes before the photograph was taken don't count.

What's needed are cars with genuine seasoned on road dirt, brought on by many miles and many months of not cleaning the car. Baked on brake dust on the alloys, scrape marks in the dirt along the sides of the car due to contact with hedgerows along narrow lanes, diesel stains in the dirt around the filler cap, and hand marks around the door handles. And extra points for a fly splattered windscreen and headlamps to prove that the car is really leading a hard life smile
