How's everyone getting their cars so filthy?! Are you driving in the verges and ditches?

This en route back from a (not so, by the looks of the car) dirty weekend in the Lakes with Mrs Digga. Hundreds of miles done and not showing the grime.

This is me be with 2 weeks worth of dirty from trips to up and down the motorway and a trip to the Lakes last weekend

Small effort from me it was cleaned the next day as I had to pick up my nan for my parents anniversary and didn't want her getting filthy getting in and out of the car

Wish I had a pic of my old silver Focus following a 6 hr drive from Blackpool to Gt Yarmouth...when I arrived i was asked if my car had caught fire on the way down! It was black with filth from looooooorries mile after mile.

What is it about the winter that makes cars so much more dirty than other times of year, is it simply the road salt that's spread on the roads?

Went on a 300 mile trip and came back through the Dart charge two weeks ago and when I got home realised my number plate was so dirty that it must have been too much for the ANPR as I've checked online and haven't been charged
