The guy selling it also posts on the Gwagon owners forum so its enthusiast owned. Looks like its been clocked though going by the mots.
Looks like a data entry error to me rather than a clocking. Or it could have been clocked by 10k every year and this time they didn't cover the miles they expected.....

The ad could use a soupçon more detail but it looks like a lot of car for the money....currently sitting at mid thread budget with 22 bids.
I love the colour but my kids would destroy that interior!
Ad says it's got a fresh MOT but a check says it runs out this week.
Very proper and at the Maison, as well.

118k miles at the last MOT.

Sorry chaps I didn't spot it first time around. I was still dreaming of the green Lexus and got quite distracted E24Man's E38 fuel tank knowledge and didn't see it on the thread previously. Sorry I repeat posted.

I'm also inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt and think it is a data error. They're probably quite common - my own car's MOT history is a bit garbled on the DVLA's site, with entries which are not my car alongside genuine MOTs

I like it.
It doesn't have 7-seats, memory seats or heated seats unfortunately or I'd be considering changing my 320. If their fuel consumption expectations are truthful there's something wrong with my car or my foot. It has the mesh grille to the centre speaker so it has a lot of the electronic upgrades which is a good thing.

Someone said earlier that they thought their kids would ruin the interior. My 211 has light grey leather and carpets and, like the W124 I had before, it's good quality and responds well to cleaning. I have 3 male resident urchins who are adept at muddying their environment, but we've had no problems.

I'm watching the auction out of interest but won't bid because of the lack of seats.

I'd be surprised if it gave better than 25mpg in normal mixed used. The m113 V8 is economical enough for a 5.0litre V8 but it is not that great. My SL500, same engine, slightly heavier, gives 22mpg.

My S500 (W220) has averaged 22.86mpg. It was higher than that (c24mpg) up until September, but I've been doing mostly town work since. On motorway stretches the computer has indicated over 30 several times, though.

25 isn't beyond possibility.

This looks interesting and in good condition (barring a headlight lens polish), especially considering the vendor!

£1,750 with a day left for a late (post facelift) S-Type R

I enjoy the power of the engine in my 211, every time I resolve to cut the speed down and check what's achievable on a run, I just can't stay slow enough to get over 30 for any length of time.

Oof, as unloved as the STR is, if that's ~£2k it seems like good value. Miles are high of course.

Obviously had a front end accident as one of the lights is new and only one of the wings is stonechipped at the leading edge.

Not exactly under-stated is it?

That definitely fails the funeral test, although that hurdle is overcome by buying multiple cars, obvs.

I'm afraid I need to issue notice of a possible W124 demise... something I thought would never ever happen...

It's my 1994 E280 wagon. The main radiator fan pulley went, and took the v belt with it. Decided to do the viscous coupling while we were in there. Total with labour and VAT, thick end of £900.

I also hit a deer, and a scuffed front bumper and cracked rear bumper to sort out - just 35k miles worth of parking issues I suppose (my fault). I said let's sort the arches out while we are in there. They said the bill for sorting out the front wings (new wings), new headlamp (deer) and all the above would be another £2700 inc vat. I said yes on the basis that then you have a nicely restored W124 which should be good for the next 175k miles.

Then they arrived at the back of the car to do the arches and found that both rear 3/4 windows have been leaking for a while and it's a mess...

I can't face a £5k+ bill on car worth £4k. The pisser is that they've already done the engine work and started the front. Gah!

I must be barking mad but if I was presented with a bill of 125% the value of my W124, I'd probably just pay it.

If it's any consolation, the bodywork on mine cost 25 times the purchase price. I did get it at handy money but as a statistic, it is still clearly bonkers.
