Seriously? That's 3k for a W202 that's done less than 40K. I'm not sure I've seen any halfway decent 190E for less than £4k, let alone one with just that mileage.
You're not likely to see many 190s with mileage that low, so if you do want a very low mileage car you'll have to pay lots for it, even if you can find one. That applies to 202s as well as 190s of course hence, I guess, the price of that one. (And the vendor!)I personally would steer clear of a barely used car in favour of a well-used one, but I accept that that is possibly a niche mind-set in the Real World!
£3k will get you a nice 190 if you keep your eyes peeled, especially if you're happy with a 1.8 or 2.0. The various merits of all the engine sizes were widely discussed here in the past couple of weeks if you scroll back a bit.

Just done my usual 'MOT Check' on the Rolls Royce. 85k on the clock. Nice to see one being used as transport. It'll have more miles than the Mercedes in a couple of years at this rate!
They can certainly take some abuse and still (kind of) work...https://youtu.be/78P1lieCNO0

Anything for us to worry about, should it come to market?
Ha! Straight pass without advisories each and every year!I wonder where these cars will end up at 12 years old? The Bentley Continental GT seem to be available for £22,500. The Rolls Royce has sold in much smaller volumes though.
Only the 3.2 but quite cheap and only 70k miles. I'm not quite sure about the colour combination - gold/gray/beige http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C707770
This looks okay, 4.0 litre car (but the SORN status always worries me)... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XJ-4-0-XJ8-4dr-Full...

£2k and that's a steal! Owned since 2001 and he's only the second owner. Looks like decent quality tyres and he'll put it through an MOT before it goes.Best £2k you could spend. And would be equal or superior to any sub £5k Merc.

Well that's good that I have asked the seller a couple of questions then! I really like the colour combination, it suits the XJ rather well I think. Best £2k you could spend. And would be equal or superior to any sub £5k Merc.

I haven't done the thread IA of checking MOT history, but if i was in the market, i'd be straight up to see it.And you get a nice day out in the Lakes to boot!
And those wheels are a nice change, too.
The Jag has a nice plate and sounds OK, but I don't like the XK8 wheels and I agree that SORN is an off-putter. What does the MOT history look like?
I think dark green is a bit dull and a bit too anonymous but I bet it polishes up nicely and looks great in the sunshine.
I probably wouldn't buy it, but for 2 grand you can't go too far wrong.

They seem to take a long time to sell. £4k for a 220 and £8k for a 320 seems to be the starting point. Low milers are hawked at £25k and more but no one buys them. The only similar car advertised in the mag with a dealer is on at £18,950, a Sportline with 70k.
